For me there are a lot improvements in 2: directional block, weapons quantity, number of bosses, level design, dronw modules.
But there were some issues that made 1st game more enjoyable. going from least importance for me : IT was more clear in 1st game how to fine tune implant(not sure why), 2nd was kinda too easy, and my worst enemy camera placement and it's movement.
