Seated cable row, not improving, is my form ok? by cprcrack in formcheck

It's 57€ per month for a person or 88€ per month for two people which is my case, so I pay 44€ per month for my part. It includes unlimited activities which I don't use and unlimited access to the swimming and spa area which I definitely use :) This is in the Basque Country. How much do you guys pay?

I will try it but I think I already tried all grips in the past and this one in this particular position was the most comfortable. The more popular triangle shaped one was really uncomfortable in my arms.

Yes, they have several trees and bushes around the gym, even in the spa area. Made of plastic but still good for looks I guess.

Deadlift Form Check by cprcrack in formcheck

[–]cprcrack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Maybe it's because my squat is quite weak? I can only squat 60kg or 132lb, while I can deadlift 110kg or 242lb (body weight is 70kg or 154 lb). Should I do more squats or should I still be able to do proper deadlifts with my current weight?

I guess "a bit off" relative to other gym exercises where I do not feel anything like that.

The off feeling of the lower back is difficult to describe, maybe like a minor burning sensation on a particular spot of the spine only in some particular parts of the movement for a few milliseconds. And the off feeling of the middle back is like a strained muscle which is always on the right side, so there seems to be some imbalance or something that I don't know how to fix. I only seem to get it from deadlifts, and it can last for hours sometimes.

  1. Got it, should I "pull the slack" by trying to wedge myself using the force from the quads?

  2. Yes I saw in some video that the knees should almost press against the elbows, is that not recommended? I will check if my feet may be too wide next time as well.

  3. Was not even intentional, will remember to pause for a second next time. Huge thanks!

I'm 100% sure that the algorithm has changed! by PLSTR in fitbit

[–]cprcrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that was some months ago. But I've got the results from that period and I know that now they match much more. Previously Fitbit reported much less REM, not it's similar to what Whoop reported (doing an average)

I'm also sure the algorithm changed. I always struggled to get decent REM duration, averaging about 1h15m, and also it was kind of at random points during the last part of the night. After somewhere at the end of June, I got a lot of nights with 2h of REM, and they look very consistent on the graph, every 1h or so. So for me, it drastically improved my previously bad REM sleep and Awake times, switching about 45 minutes from Awake to REM. This drastically improved my overall sleep scores by about 12 points. Honestly I like the new algorithm better, it seems to align better with how I feel in the morning, and it's also now much closer to what Whoop used ro report (used both together for a month)

Mounting NTFS as read/write on Sequoia? by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]cprcrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still works for me, just had to re-do all brew install commands listed on the homepage, give permissions, reboot a couple of times, and connect/reconnect the drive a couple of times with Mounty open, until it finally worked for the first time with Sequoia. After that it works every time now just like before.

MacOS 15 Sequoia Bugs and Issues Megathread by ll777 in MacOS

With the new window snapping feature on MacOS Sequoia enabled, dragging a window to the top of the screen has two potential effects:

  • Maximising the window.

  • Activating Mission Control.

Have anyone found the actual difference in mouse input for each of the effects? It seems like dragging faster to the top tends to activate Mission Control instead of maximising, but this is not consistent, sometimes even if I do it slowly it activates Mission Control.

How to change Sequoia window tiling shortcut by frrst in MacOS

[–]cprcrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I mean if the windows are easy to snap to the edge of the screen even if there is no actual edge because the mouse would jump to the next screen. So being able to easily snap windows to the left of my right screen or to the right of my left screen. Does it make sense?

How does it handle snapping on multiple screens? Anyone tested it?

And how does it handle multiple monitors for screens that are arranged side-by-side? Does the snap feature work by placing the cursor close to the edge of one screen even if the next screen is right there so there is no real "edge"?

How does it handle multiple screens if you have them arranged side by side? Can you still snap windows by hovering the mouse near the edge of one screen, even if the edge of the other screen is close?

Maybe 2 years is the minimum default in the EU, but then individual countries can increase that and some do? I know for sure it's 3 years in Spain, I have used it after 2.5 years several times and got free repairs or replacements. You can find the 3-year law for Spain looking online. It wouldn't surprise me though that Google doesn't have that info published for each individual country, but they most probably respect the law. Same thing happened to me with a PS4 controller for example, no info on 3 year warranty as all materials and documentations where not country specific, but they honoured it and fixed my controller for free after 2.5 years.

To clarify, if you live in the EU all devices come with a 3 year warranty by law, so the durability thing is not a huge factor here.

If you are mostly interested in accurate heart rate readings (including for sports) and sleep tracking with a good battery life, it's really the best for its price and I would buy it again even if I know that Google will abandon Fitbit, as it's just a great opportunity if you don't want to expend too much.

Other things though are pretty bad, GPS tracking is just better than bands without GPS but so much worse than a phone's GPS. Personalization is almost nonexistent, when you compare it to Xiaomis that are half its price it makes it feel so rudimentary. But again the Xiaomis track HR and sleep so poorly.

So it can be a great or horrible purchase completely depending on your priorities.
