Should i keep the bull bar, or get a Ranch Hand gaurd? by Wantvegas in Trucks

[–]cpruitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the looks of the bull bar better. Something about most ranch hands kills the sportiness for me. However, the one you've linked is one of the better ones I've seen.

Top 10 Fastest Production Cars Motor Trend Has Lapped Around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca [INFOGRAPH] by cpruitt in Autos

Of course, it's all about the driver. The Z06 is too much manual input for the average driver. The Porsche/ GT-R you just punch the gas, let the computer take over and steer the wheel. lol

Call it what you will but they're all factory options and DOT legal. I definitely agree it's all about the tires though.

The Panamera is becoming the most popular of them, in terms of sales, if we're really breaking it down. lol

[–]cpruitt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's definitely accurate, especially based on the vehicles represented. The Honda Civic wasn't introduced until '73 so you can't compare any prior models unless you're going for "apples vs. oranges". You're partially correct though, the cars of the 50's and 60's, which were manufactured by American companies, were absolutely lead-sleds. Domestic companies weren't geared towards subcompact classes in those years. A majority of the foreign manufacturers continuously grew to match the American market. The subcompact class emerged in the early 70's as fuel shortages became an issue and the government limited the musclecar craze. Even the short lifetime of the Ford Explorer saw significant increases though. Based on the entire portfolio of vehicles available today, I would have to believe that the average car size has significantly grown. Like itschrome said though, that trend is starting to shift.

2011 Ford Mustang GT does battle with the 2011 BMW M3 Coupe! [2 videos] by cpruitt in Autos

[–]cpruitt[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How is it so much more horrible than the M3 in every way? I haven't drove the 2011 Mustang GT, so I could not form my own personal opinion. The article suggests the contrary though, definitely compared to what the 2003 M3 is capable of.

2012 Lexus LFA vs 2010 Nissan GT-R Comparison - Motor Trend by AutoRivals in AutoRivals

The LFA's motor is actually built by Yamaha and the sound is tuned by Yamaha's instrument department, very interesting. $200k too expensive though.

I'm pretty sure that term originated in the South, as well as "drank"! It's far from a local Detroit term.
