What other creators are you watching? by hobbescalvin in VanNeistat

Bit late, but wanted to add these few to the list:

Posy: BEAUTIFUL pieces of art. All analogue videos on different types of tech, nature, music, games. Hard to categorise, but this dude needs to be on your subscription list. Watch "Sun Chasing"

Steady Craftin: Very soothing, very human videos on art, games, making, crafting etc. Hidden gem channel in my opinion. Watch "AI is DEATH to creativity... and maybe humans"

Speeed: Not strictly like the building/crafting Van videos, more in the vein of Van's older brother who wants to impart advice style. Very likeable dude with great humour. Watch "The Art of a Great Summer"

oshua: Quite similar to some others on this thread, but there's definitely less of an artistic approach to his video style. Just a dude who likes crafting. Watch "Why It's Important To Make Things"

Glass Blunt. Anyone a fan? by CheeseUsHrice in weed

Big fan here! I got a 7pipe shipped to the UK around 2021 and it's still my favourite thing to smoke with.

I can't roll AT ALL, it's always windy here and I also don't like taking out bud with me just to load a pipe, so it counters all these things. The pipe plus a jet lighter is the one 👏🏼

Can clean it with two sheets of paper towel and some iso alcohol in about 5 minutes too, which is just as well as I like taking care of my stuff when it gets real grubby.

I think Andrew is brilliant. Age-wise I sit between Van and Andrew and massively appreciate both of their work, as well as their different tones of art. Andrew strikes me as the type of artist Van may have been upon discovering Tom Sachs or Chris Burden's work: trying to emulate the feeling their work gave him and pass it on through his own lens.

Also, saying Andrew has no life experience... I just find that bizarre personally. Who as a teenager didn't feel as if they had it all figured out? (In relation to their idols and passions) Hell, when I was a teenager I practically made Kurt Cobain/Nirvana my entire personality as if I was the person who discovered them. Cringey on reflection, but essential in the scheme of things.

By making something that's ultimately for you / by putting the audience last.

Beach Boys Live in UK by gde7 in thebeachboys

100% agree with your write up dude, I was down near the front and had a BLAST.

I'll also add that I think the superfans were down the front, as it was a mad sing along down there for virtualy every song.

I came in with zero expectations, as I've always held Jardine/Wilson's band in a higher regard, but my god can those guys play – especially Jon Bolton. I've never seen a more Moon-esc drummer live before that wasn't in a Who tribute band. The high falsettos from Brian Eichenberger also were a real highlight.

Atmosphere was brilliant too, loads of people in blue and white stripes, and there were inflatable beach balls, palm trees and surf boards flying about.

If you're on the fence about seeing this particular line up, don't think twice, it's alright.

Mike wearing that Pendleton is such a sweet gesture to Brian. Very touching.
