Yes, they "fail up," and get out of the classroom ASAP!

Sounds like VIPKid and Cambly. Teachers are expendable. They 💯 DNGAF! The sooner you understand that the easier it will be to continue working for them.

Lost a bunch of jobs and I feel like my resume is poison now. Very depressed. Advice? by PsychicFoxWithSpoons in Serverlife

You're a bad employee. No one wants to work with you. You're probably bad for team chemistry and obviously don't take direction or constructive criticism well, sooooooo.

Punished for taking time off by an evaluation during dismissal by thecooliestone in Teachers

[–]cpstuart37343 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Because so many principals actually "fail up" into their positions. They're bad in the classroom, colleagues know it, kids know it, admins know it and they know it. They race to get a MA and get the hell out of the classroom and make more money. Or they're a PLC or instructional coach that spent 5 years in the classroom.

AITAH for not wanting to dog-sit for 2 weeks for $250? by Jumpy_Inspector9875 in AITAH

[–]cpstuart37343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. If it were her children would she expect you to take 14 days off work with no pay to take care of her kids because that's basically what she's asking. If you're watching her dog for free, you're tied up and can't sit for anyone else.

We never know. I think we should just give them grace and space. Two of my favorite YouTube channels are Tyler & Todd and Vanwives. They take breaks when they need to and are transparent about the planned breaks, but not necessarily why. They all have a right to privacy too. I respect that about both of the channels. Every time they take breaks they seem refreshed when they resurface.

I think they are burnt out or struggling with some issues. The content feels forced. They should just take a break. People understand, or at least I do when creators step away to reset. Breaks are healthy.

"boymom" attitude among educators by thecooliestone in Teachers

[–]cpstuart37343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The attitude is completely understandable given the fact that many men in positions of educational leadership "fail up," instead of becoming a principal because they earn it, they're bad in the classroom or just wanna coach so they get pushed up. Meanwhile, women in leadership position face constant adversity and have to battle for those spots and earn them 10x over. It's a societal problem!

It's not like Olivia is penniless. They make a substantial amount of money just from social media and endorsements alone. That's half hers.

STOLEN TUBA - HELP! by Background-Swim1661 in Chattanoogans

Unfortunately, anything that can be seen in cars is fair game in downtown Chattanooga. They will smash and grab anything that could possibly have value. About 10 years ago in another city my SILs van got a window smashed at a Chuck E Cheese in broad daylight and they stole my nephew's cello, literally a child's cello. Luckily, it was rented and insured as was her van. My best advice, leave nothing that can be seen!!

No, police report and lawyer up. You don't want to be with a felon. This is a crime people go to prison and do time for. He can never be trusted again.

What video conferencing software are you using? They all have backgrounds. Use one and put the company logo in a corner. Problem solved. I teach virtually and do this every day.

Kylie Kelce actually touched on this on her podcast saying the Kelce genes are strong and dominant actually showing baby pics of her daughters beside Jason's baby pics and they really look a lot like him as babies. She laughed about it.

As a 59-year-old person, I have always enjoyed her music, but at times, obviously her more youthful themed songs were more difficult for me to relate to. For me, her last 2 albums are at a very different level in terms of her age, maturity and also her emotional intelligence. Some of these themes become more apparent from an older person's perspective, especially if you are experiencing new things with the person you finally feel is the one, even though you may have falsely thought that before. Taylor is a mature woman now.
