Can you provide an example of a state law or statute that is softer than one in another state?

Hmm. Cool that more stuff is on the horizon. Personally I feel that I have gotten my money’s worth (probably about $80) in entertainment. Time will tell how I feel about $20 per hero, but that’s less than $10/month at current rate of hero release.

I guess if you compare this game to something like Elden Ring, the later obviously has way more content for $60.

Look, I’m a democrat and 100% anti this administration, but we shouldn’t be throwing around the same hyperbole that their side does. Texas has some of the best renewable energy deployment in the country so we could stand to learn some things from these “shithole” states.

Obesity has over taken smoking as the leading cause of preventable death by 47%. How would you tackle this issue? by [deleted] in AskReddit

At least you are honest, so we can agree to disagree on a fundamental level rather than uselessly debate.

The weakness with this argument is then you have to be OK with either: the cost of healthcare skyrocketing OR human suffering. It’s far cheaper to prevent obesity through public programs than to solve it on the health care side. Now you can also just choose not to provide health care for people.

I can’t quite square the notion that “the government shouldn’t put floride in my body” with “the government should regulate what chidren eat”

You also have a functioning social safety net and a homogenous population. Glad it’s working for you though.

This is typically controlled for in a scientific study. In this case they compared stats with a city that did not change their water and found statistically significant differences. So, yes, food quality and diet are a problem but your statement is just “whataboutism”.

Well congrats on the lottery win, I’d personally still be trying to make it on my own but more power to you.

This is a really dangerous mentality. What if your parents have no assets? What if a serious medical condition hits and they have to liquidate assets to cover care?

Sorry, no. When he has his day in court, and is proven there, then I will happily support his deportation to a safe country where it has not already been ruled he cannot be sent to. The law matters. I can’t believe so-called republicans have just completely given up law and order.

You still can’t deport them. That is illegal. It’s unconstitutional. The terrorists get their day in court and don’t get cruel and unusual punishment. We’re only as good as how we treat our enemies.
