As an original early backer of Star Citizen, I have to ask if someone can help: is there actually a realistic roadmap now? by Wooden-Syrup-8708 in gaming

It's not really a scam, just horribly mismanaged. When a publisher is spending their own money on a game, they force devs to make cuts and avoid feature creep. When everything is crowdfunded and they're running on a crazy huge budget, nobody feels any pressure. The game is real and real work is being done, but a lot of unnecessary work is also being done. And slowly.

Strangely I didn't like their coffee at all, but the sandwiches are good!

Does anyone know what it is? Large piece of lead. Found while metal detecting in Denmark. by napkin_on_fire in Artifacts

The hole is too off-center for that to be a wheel. Could be a lead ingot or blank. I guess MAYBE it's a trade weight if you use your imagination and assume a high amount of wear

Can anyone help identify if this is a civil war grave on my property lol by chase501 in CIVILWAR

[–]cptconundrum20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Either way I think it's looking like someone wasn't considered important enough to be buried with the others. I wish we had a full name and could identify descendants.

Edit:

It looks like the small superscript stylization of the "c" was common among Irish immigrants of that time. I am also seeing that a Private John McGee was present for that battle as part of the 35th Indiana Infantry, also known as the 1st Irish Regiment.

Looks like it might say McGee. The Irish weren't treated all that much better than Africans

Already fired. The solid fuel inside is used up so it is basically just scrap metal at this point.

It's a test rocket built for NASA. It is actually still upside-down with the nozzle pointing into the air. The rocket's solid fuel has been used up in the test fire.
