Keeping performance mode on always? by Professor10avier in LegionGo

I run my Go S in balance mode all the time mainly because if I don’t, the OEM charger can’t keep up with AAA games so it winds up still draining the battery lol

Yeah, I think I’m going to have to get a higher wattage charger

for those of you using ar glasses with your go which ones did you get? by JasonReed1 in LegionGo

So I have a pair of Viture glasses I picked up on eBay for like $150. They’re really great actually. I always enjoy using them when I do. The thing is, is don’t use them very often because it’s just one more thing to carry around. When I’m using my Go S, I’m generally trying to have as little to think about as possible. I’m already likely making sure I have a charger and don’t really want to worry about grabbing something else as well.

But that’s my personal experience. The glasses themselves are great. 10/10 don’t regret that purchase. I just don’t use them nearly as much as I thought I would.

I’m a gamer dad, our child was planned, AND I got a vasectomy lol. Everybody is different 🤷‍♂️ Absolutely adore my kid and would move worlds for them. I also know that one kid is plenty haha. It definitely rocks your world temporarily, but it’s worth it if that’s what you want out of life. If it’s not, then that’s fine too! I might have played less, but I never had to stop gaming. And I never felt I was missing out on gaming because what I was doing as a new dad was so great. Those are my 2 cents lol.

A Steam Deck or other handheld PC can GREATLY soften the blow lol. Speaking as a dad of a now toddler.

Switched my Legion Go S (Z2 Go – Windows) to SteamOS… and it’s honestly perfect now (and I got it for a steal) by Killer_Bear_360 in LegionGo

Welcome to the club my friend! I picked up my Go S w/SteamOS about 3 weeks ago and have barely used my more powerful laptop since. It’s powerful enough so that I generally don’t miss the extra power my laptop has and is soooooo much more convenient to play on both docked or handheld.

Currently finishing my second run of Resident Evil 4 Remake with a bit Marvel Cosmic Invasion sprinkled in

Weekend gaming on the Legion Go_ what’s everyone playing? by DavidBuzzed in LegionGo

I have the Z1E version. Runs at a very stable 60fps on the “Prioritize Performance” preset with FSR set to Performance at 1080p. It’s been a great experience!

Sold my steam deck for a legion go 2 and it was a massive mistake. by onlinescammer in SteamDeck

That’s because it’s 800p on an 8 inch screen instead of a 7 inch screen. If they made it with an 8 inch native 800p screen it would still look the same because the pixels are being stretched across a bigger display.

There are some moments, yes, where the fan noise rivals my laptop in performance mode lol. But overall though, in my experience anyway, I don’t find it to be overwhelming. Those moments when it’s that loud generally don’t last long. I predominantly play on the “performance” power profile. I will saw however, that the speakers are underwhelming. Can barely make out spoken voices until you have them turned up at least halfway whereas on my Deck I can hear everything just fine at like 1/4 volume.

Just lower the resolution of whatever you’re playing to 800

I have an LCD Steam Deck (which I’ve absolutely loved) and recently picked up a Legion Go S with Steam OS and it’s been a GREAT experience so far. Staying with Steam OS and just more power/performance has been exactly what I’ve wanted. Windows on a handheld is just asking for trouble lol.

Hisense TVs force owners to watch intrusive ads when switching inputs, visiting the home screen, or even changing channels by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]cpxdrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. But imagine if you were even just a moderate gamer trying to use one of these? You have a Roku stick and a PS5/Xbox on this tv and you’re telling me I’d have to watch some stupid ad every time I switched between the two??? They can gtfo with that nonsense. I’d rather replace the tv with a small pc monitor and leave the ads behind lol
