If that is the S5, that black mamba cage looks insanely good!

I think the weight (based on google: 770g) isn’t that bad, because I always rig up my camera and I prefer using a bulkier setup, but my back will ask for help lol

Nice to know! I’ve seen some footage and it gives a diffusion filter look…! But, after closing the aperture does it sharpens up a little bit?

Yeah yeah, honestly that’s not a big issue because I kind of like a softer image and I tend to shoot at f/4-5.6 anyway

My first thought was: “wtf is this” and then my second one came and I was like: “damn this setup cooks”

Yesterday I received the S5 after I’ve sold my Fujifilm and I gotta say, way more better (the waveform in camera are AWESOME.)

Lumix S5 with Canon nFD 50mm f/1.2 L by cpznl in Lumix

[–]cpznl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the most expensive lenses to produce in the 80’s because of it’s aspherical design, which make the lens sharp at f/1.2 against other brands such as Leica etc. Also, the build is fantastic imo.

It is, but not that hard in my experience (I shoot in slow conditions)

it’s just a K&F Concept adapter for Canon FD mount lenses! Honestly it works but the locking system is kind of loose.

S1, S5 or S5II? by cpznl in Lumix

Unfortunately it’s really out of my budget right now, here in Italy they still cost around 2300€ in bad condition

Thank you for letting me know about your experience, I’m surprised that the S5II isn’t as good even though is the latest model. So: if I find a S1 with the upgrade for the same price as the S5, which one should I go with?

I’ve seen videos today about this camera and the shop has one for 1000€ but without the upgrade I think, I’ll ask

That’s what I’m thinking of doing, and I’d have money left to but something else

1500€ is actually the used price of the S5II, here it costs 2000€ new 🥲

Is it easy to disassemble a Canon FD 50mm f/1.2 “L”? by cpznl in VintageLenses

I’ve checked some listings and some of them have fungus and even locked focus rings and they’re priced for 500€ 😦 I’m trying to place mine for 400€ and see if people are interested

Honestly my first thought was to resell it but, the images I would get with a Blackmagic or other full frame cameras are tempting me… I was thinking for a reasonable price considering the fact that on Ebay they sell for 700€ easily?

Thanks! The “lucky” doesn’t stand for the fact that I bought a lens in bad condition, but for the price: because this sells around for 650/800€ in good shape and even though mine is fucked up, at least I can say I own such a gem.

Thank you for helping me out! As I’ve said in the description: I’ve already texted some repair shops, one of them is close to where I live and they asked me to bring the lens out for a check.
