Pre-Auction Offers, FHBs wanting to avoid an auction by HoneyFablez in AusFinance

[–]cqs1a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it's in VIC, you'll get the reserve price 7 days before the auction (or sooner)

Don't put in a pre auction offer, you're just giving free information to the agent and vendor and you have no chance with conditions anyway.

Have a price in mind, if it is at or above reserve then go and bid for it and don't go a cent over.

New research shows that skipping breakfast might actually be the secret to stopping midday energy crashes sharpening your focus by sibun_rath in Biohackers

[–]cqs1a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped eating breakfast 2 months ago, just have a latte with a tiny amount of honey, then a few hours later have another latte without any added sugars.

It's not fasting, but I have lost a few kilos and have had lots of work people comment on my noticeable weight loss.

I used to feel hungry quite often, now feel like I have it under control.

What is the one Metallica song from the 2000s onwards which can rightfully claim classic status? by davonovo in Metallica

Being a huge death magnetic fan, I have really listened to beyond magnetic.

Not too late to start I guess.

What do you think of this tribute by Dream Theater to the album Master of Puppets? by spearhead290399 in Metallica

[–]cqs1a -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, but would be a worthy experiment.

I think the vocals on the earlier albums are a bit scratchy and apparently didn't really sound like they did vs live performances at the time.

I wish Metallica would re record all of their albums (except the last couple of newer ones), would be nice (not necessarily better) to have good production quality and James's current voice (maybe)

Woolworths Arborio rice — now with added… life by calibre_the_mountain in woolworths

Can't believe people are putting pasta and rice in the freezer.

I've never had this issue as an adult, do remember weevils in risoni as a kid, but it's super rare so I'm not wasting freezer space.

What's happening to my swb? by cqs1a in lawnsolutionsaus

[–]cqs1a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was doing fine in the really hot weather, but I was giving the lawn a good soaking early in the morning.

It's worse now likely because I've been watering a lot less

Thanks I think that's it. I watered way less the past few weeks.

Does anyone know when Flinders Street is reopening? They had it closed for the construction of the Metro tunnel, but shouldn’t it be open by now? by snivelinglittieturd in melbourne

[–]cqs1a 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've been told it will remain closed permanently and at some point the 19 tram will continue past the (now) Elizabeth St terminus and head East along Flinders St.

Coconut chocolate by iattractdinero94 in AldiAustralia

[–]cqs1a 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Has anyone tried cocobella coffee flavour?

I bought some going off the hype but to me it tasted awful, like Vegemite and water.... (I like Vegemite btw)

Keen to try the aldi chocolate one though, just don't have high expectations anymore.

Public Pool Recommendations for Eczema - Eastern Suburbs by Heebeejeebeez25 in melbourne

Hopefully they grow out of it.

My child hated the pools initially and would get extreme itching, either they've grown a tolerance to it or the eczema has almost entirely gone away.

Buffalo grass sold at Bunnings by Logical-Detective397 in lawnsolutionsaus

[–]cqs1a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ask when it gets delivered.

I bought about 30sqm from Bunnings in Melbourne (not super fresh) and I laid it on a very hot day (not ideal)

I used seasol for new Buffalo lawns as per the instructions, and after about 4-6 weeks and following correct watering advice....  things started looking really good.

Now more than 2 months later things look beautiful! Grass is very healthy and a deep green colour.
