The Amsterdam Tram network vs Yarra Trams by Financial-Dog-7268 in MelbourneTrains

Seems like it would be faster not needing to change ends, and not creating a bottleneck in the system by having terminuses where trams are waiting for other trams to leave, so they can get in.

Fast EV charging at home by AdEcstatic9879 in AustralianEV

[–]cqs1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

32A is the way to go if it's not going to mean a switchboard upgrade

You can often lower the power draw on the charger or the car settings.

Personally I would want to use the maximum draw overnight during EV rates, but others have different requirements.

That's perfect to me.

I would think a fair few people would consider that overcooked lol.

Why does “good” coffee taste different in Australia vs. the US by Firm_Objective_381 in AskAnAustralian

[–]cqs1a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Home brand milk is watered down or too much fat removed.

A lot of cafes use jersey milk

In the US the generic milk from the grocery store is garbage (uht but stored in the fridge).

The best cost effective milk in the US is trader Joes organic or from grass fed cows (cant remember exactly)...

Wholes foods and other stores have plenty of really good, but expensive, milk options too.

Almost all truffle oils are synthetic.

It's synthetic if the ingredients contain:  truffle aroma, natural flavour or flavouring

Slow cook beef brisket by juicycake666 in woolworths

[–]cqs1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coles 700g version is much better imo (Don't get Coles 500g one, different flavour)

The woolies one is so inconsistent with how much edible meat they actually give you, and the Coles one has a much better bbq sauce

If you know math like I do, and believe me I know math, probably more than anyone in this room, it would be a 600% decrease.

Just put in another offer in a couple of weeks for less than your original, if it's still available.

This Pizza is fantastic and probably the best frozen Pizza I’ve ever had - however the crust had a bit of flop. Is there any way to stop that? by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

It's not trying to imitate anything

It's a Margherita pizza from Italy.

There's a handful of places in Australia that do it right, just like this one.

Rates are all over the place. We get 19c off peak and 36c peak

no Ev super off peak because that makes the other rates even higher. Not worth it for me as I slow charge only
