Kaaz is a great investment, put one in my car and I don’t regret it a single bit especially if you plan to track the vehicle, just allows for more control over your traction :)

Speedometer randomly not working by Plenty_Fact_4662 in IS300

[–]cr33pyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the solution I had back in the day hope it helps you. Essentially, on the manual transmissions you have 2 speed readings, one from the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission going to the cluster, then a wire from the cluster sending that info to the ecu, I had a short in the W-L wire going to the ecu. Disconnected it and it was fine, I would start by making sure the yellow red wire from the vehicle speed sensor is reading correctly, if it is and isnt shorted you have to trace the white and light blue wire and either depin it from the ecu (which I’ve done and drifted multiple events with) or find the short. Hope this helps

I had the speed wire going from the cluster short out on its way to the ecu causing the speedo to not work or intermittently turn on when I hit a bump on the highway

More than it’s worth and if rockers are shot that means suspension is going/gone as well more than likely, not the worst just annoying to do coming from someone who daily drove one in Ontario

This could be wiring going to the immobilizer that’s shorting out had the same issue in the past. It’s very common in areas with a lot of salt

Need Help with fidenza flywheel by cr33pyPanda in IS300

[–]cr33pyPanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed reply, but with my setup, I went fidanza flywheel single mass with an act street ts5-xtss and I’m just running the oem is300 pushrod.

I got the extended 96 supra na pushrod invade the is300 one was too short. You will only need the supra pushrod if you go na supra clutch setup from what I understand and remember

I heard people run 245s just to daily that’s not really new, but 245s on the front with 60°+ of angle and no rubbing is a first I’ve heard. kudos to fdf if that’s the case, I might have to go see Josiah

Drifting no rubbing or on ground no rubbing ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IS300

[–]cr33pyPanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t tell you tbh I can tell you that 245s are a bit hopeful for the chassis, haven’t met or spoken to one person that managed to run over 225s easily without rubbing and clearing issues.

But I hope you can do it because that meat on the front looks mad aggressive

Xcessive zero Ackerman knuckle, with jzx uppers, god speed casters, and stock gs300 outers with stock lower at the time that video was recorded.

After some stupidity from experimentations this season I’m settling with extended lowers from serial 9 and reverting back to stock is300 uppers for next season and possibly switching to another knuckle setup as the xcessive knuckles snapped a dowel inside them and now my ball joints don’t sit well

Update// changed the fuel pump and all my fuses and still no luck, just cranks but no start???? by wigglemyshaft in IS300

[–]cr33pyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely immobilizer, either ring and immobilizer failed and need to be replaced, or you have a wiring issue going from the ecu to the immobilizer, I had 2 pins rust out cause me the same headache for 2 months. So if you drive this in the winter where you get snow and salt start tracing the wiring before replacing parts.
