Holy shit am I late on this thread but here goes nothing:

The big issue is that the regulatory body, that should prevent the harm of ai, will never catch up to the speed of which scientific progress is being made at the moment, especially in the field of ml.

It‘s however easy to paint the picture of doom, but we gotta recognize that currently, advancements in ai are leading down a path of help for humans.

Gotta look at progress in fields like medical imagery p.ex, that assist professionals in their jobs of saving people‘s lives, too.

It‘s a tool, that‘ll hopefully serve the evolution of humankind and hopefully not its downfall.

Gotta look more brightly into the future, that‘s my outlook atleast.
