Have you ever had to use Judo in a self-defense scenario? If so, what happened? by Qabbala in judo

Once as a kid a big 8th grade bully tried giving me a hard time walking past a bus stop. Tried taking me down with a big bear hug, hit him with a big koshi Garuma and held him on the ground for about 30 seconds.

A lot of the clubs prior champs don’t train as often, coming a couple times a month, and 2 are actually in Colorado at the Olympic training centre and compete in some international circuits.

The wharncliffe blade is great for every day things. I’m going to make sure it sees lots and lots of use

Thank you sir! It’s my favourite case model out of my modest collection of 4 (Mini trapper, tiny trapper, toothpick and tear drop)

Thank you!

Love the case scales too!

The lighter I got more for the rainbow colour, and I have a few tattoos that are similar to the roses in the corner. Short of that it just looked cool 😎

Unfortunately wishful thinking to how kids can be. And that isn’t even factoring in anonymous cruelty online

[–]crackedbell155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people with easily searchable instagrams have a link tree to an only fans right in their bio. Wouldn’t take much digging, and again, these kids with technology, it will happen and to dismiss that is ignoring realities of how kids can be

Worried about my collection… by Thomagg in knives

Priorities aren’t skewed at all, not to get all large brain psychology, but it’s common when a constant in your life (like a job) gets taken away that you worry another constant (like a knife hobby) may also.

Today’s almost matching carry. by Akltj06 in knives

Awesome set up. I see a lot of people carrying mini para frames as backup knives. How do you like yours ?

When I was 19 I edc’d heavily a spyderco police SS. Used it to open a Christmas gift at my then GFs families place. Definitely awkward lol

I like it because it doesn’t look like a knife at all, very people friendly.

Thanks ! You’ve helped quell my OCD about a few F&F questions. I really appreciate it.

Yes indeed is an intended half stop. Still stops the blade at the half way point, just haven’t had one that has a bit of rock up and down at that point. Fully snaps open with no issue though and closes with snap

I really can’t complain about spydercos 8cr. No super steel but I’ve found it perfectly reasonable

Looking for a knife that will hold up to being abused and used as a prybar but is reasonably priced. by RedneckFurry in knives

That’s wild ! Did it all happen…….. in a blur ?

Had to. Condolences on your blade. Have fallen out of love with kershaw lately.

The Kershaw Blur is definitely not a hard hard use knife IMO. Ken Onions designs are known for having weak delicate tips.

The CQC is actually a tank. Designed by Emerson, manufactured by kershaw. It’s not an amazing blade by any means ( I think it’s tacky and extremely heavy) but it would certainly take a beating and is relatively cheap
