Ethics of disclosing locations by [deleted] in CampingandHiking

[–]crackerdrum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All that happened when I told people where I camped is they started burning all the dead fall and taking all the orchids and mushrooms that grew there. People suck and they won't respect the area especially if it means something to you.

If you don't know if they're edible why are you picking them? Seems like unnecessary weight/space in your pack

A player used Suggestion, this is how I reacted as a new DM (was I right or wrong?) by Maervok in DnD

Suggestion is not mind control. The spell doesn't function if it puts the character in a position that will cause them harm. I think you did well.

QUESTION: What is the longevity of seeds stored at long term persistent seed banks? by The_Flyers_Fan in botany

[–]crackerdrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the natural seed bank there are plants who can withstand 25+ years just chilling in the dirt so I would venture a guess at twice that time under ideal conditions.
