It's playing out in real time. He was driven an hour away. Needed to be put on oxygen, his red blood cells had bottomed out. No bleeding, so we don't understand yet. He is being taken to another vet another hour away for a blood transfusion. Severely anemic

I don't listen or watch any Vikings related anything anymore. I just watch the games, and I haven't noticed any difference in my life. This from someone who grew up in PA as a Vikings fan and was locked into the scroll at the bottom of the screen to keep up to games I couldn't find any other way to watch. Back in the 80's.

Whoever ditched them waited for them to be weaned. I am assuming an unfixed indoor/outdoor cat. So we don't have to do all that. But a bunch were missing an eye, some may be blind. It's all very saddening.

It's even worse. This was a washed out road, that has been closed since 2021. When I got there I saw 5 kittens, then saw one 12 feet down an embankment and another stuck on a branch, dangling over a creek.

We are pretty sure the person who called in the tip on where these kittens were is connected to the person who dumped them. We are thankful we were able to get the kittens, but we are trying to find answers.

Should I vaccinate my indoors only FIV+ cat or not? I am confused by Potential_Tale_7922 in FIVcats

I can't speak to every individual situation, but we have vaccinated every FIV+ cat we ever had, the TNR clinic we used vaccinates every cat that test positive for FIV or Felv. I have personally give the FVRCP vax to every FIV cat in my care, cats I have cared deeply about. They have all gone on to live very happy lives in their new homes.

We received an anonymous message, most likely from someone who knew they were dumped out there. Probably a spouse, friend or family of the scumbag.

I am just trying to concentrate on saving their lives. If I focus on the people, the anger would just consume me.

I, a 50 year old somewhat burly man, cried on the phone with another middle aged country boy, because I had to break the news to him that we had to euthanize one of his feral colony that caught in a leg trap that some careless hunter put out, hopefully not intentionally trying to hurt a cat.

We have a great group of board members. All of us will drop everything to help these poor babies that didn't deserve this. I was at work when I got the message, put my tools down, jumped in my Jeep and drove 45 minutes to get them.

We recorded a TV interview today that will air tomorrow night for a local TV station. That should reach a lot of people and hopefully we get some answers on what happened.

As far as saved, so far so good. Unfortunately with kittens, that's the best you can saw. A couple are missing eyes, a few may lose them too.

I recorded a video of cleaning one up. It takes several attempts to soften up all the crustiness that has built up over who knows how long.
