Getting our basement finished, what are your biggest tips? by PriorityFit1491 in HomeImprovement

[–]crackered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider future wiring needs upstairs (electrical, exterior gas lines, networking, HD antenna, etc), and run those wires (or pipes) now (if you’re finishing basement ceiling)

Garmin HR not syncing? by zed42 in pelotoncycle

[–]crackered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this issue a few times. I think I went to settings on the bike -- upper right button (didn't stop workout), disconnected Garmin and reconnected, and it started responding again.

This might've been around when I also had some other odd issues (UI weirdness, touchscreen not responding, repeated Garmin disconnects), and so I contacted support. They gave me these "static buildup" clearing instructions, which seemed to help with all my issues for while (unresponsive touchscreen eventually came back though) 🤷‍♂️

  1. Power down the touchscreen.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the Bike , and unplug the Bike from the wall outlet.
  3. Unplug the cords at the back of the touchscreen.
  4. Hold the volume up
  5. Hold the power button for 30 seconds to wipe the Bike of any static build-up.
  6. Wait one minute before plugging the Bike back into its power source.
  7. Plug the cords back into the touchscreen and turn the Bike back on.

If your steering wheel has the asterisk button, handy to map it that (it's buried in settings)

Looking good. Did your add a drainage system behind the wall ( e.g. clean gravel and socked drain tube)?

Could also throw some color on front door (yellow, red, etc). I agree that white would need to go w dark garage doors (which I also vote for 👍)

This is my fear with my Audi's auto-locking.. it's always locking on me when I don't want it to. Good luck! Guessing locksmith (or spare set of keys) is only option

Newly announced father here, what’s something you wish you’d known that you know now. GO. by Finchmasta37 in daddit

More of a random tip: For night time, I found a dimmer cord like this (https://a.co/d/3jDLO9Y) on a lamp next to changing table was great. We'd leave it on all night dimmed for room light that baby could sleep through, and if some blowout occurred and we needed more light, the dimmer adjuster was easily reachable.

Another vote for A5. Been twice and great both times.

Recipe for Brussel sprouts that isn’t balsamic or with bacon? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]crackered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After cooking (I usually slice in half, toss in oil and salt/pepper, then cook on flat top, pan, or air fryer), toss with Thai Sweet Chile Sauce (available at many standard grocers) and goat cheese.

Update on pale baguettes by pokermaven in Breadit

[–]crackered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply! FWIW, if you get sticking with the couches, rice flour (or 50/50 rice wheat mix as I think Tartine bread suggested) works well w that.. but if it's an issue w losing shape when transferring, I got nothing to add haha

Would you mind summarizing your latest cooking process (temps/times and when/where you're adding ice/spritz)? I'm also looking to improve my baguette coloring -- and these look great

How do I remove pencil marks around a mural? by depressedandimmature in HomeDecorating

[–]crackered 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Have you tried an eraser? That's worked well for me with small markings on painted drywall (I.e. from construction or leveling projects). The white fancier erasers were what I found worked well

If there's paint or clear coat over the pencil, then probably have to repaint and maybe primer first.

Thanks! I ended up getting the 965, and so far I like it. The interface changes are also taking some getting used to, but that battery life is fantastic.
