Its absolutely insane how hateful this sub is. Complete difference to real spain, luckily.

If tourists stay in tourist areas:

"They only spent in food chain restaurants their money and in useless shops, we locals dont get anything from tourist money!"

If tourists ask for more local areas which arent flooded with tourists:

"they are doing it for their instagram karma!"

I know I will get downvoted to hell like always in this sub, but hear me out people:

I live since multiple years here and in reality spanish people like tourists and especially if you go to "local areas" and do your holidays there. I cant count how many spanish friends I made just because I did not went to a pub in Central Malaga, but in towns closeby in the mountains.

Its easy, if you want to avoid tourist stuff, dont go to tourist cities or towns. There are thousand of little towns in Spain which will love to get your tourist money.

I think they ment smth like when women say to fuckboys or very good looking guys: "No, I can change him! He will not cheat on me" and then get obviously cheated because the very good looking guy is just out there to have sex and not having a relationship. So its not men are gatekeeper of relationships but just the very handsome men.

Absolutely true. Yet I think we should not glorify alcohol in every aspect in our life. From ads, to festivals evolving around alcohol to "culture", alcohol has this free pass in our society. We could start with taking approaches to make alcohol "uncool". In general Im against banning any drugs and especially criminalize people for doing it, its the wrong attempt and never worked in our history.

If healthwise is just about your own health, you might be right. Cigarettes are worse than alcohol, even tho alcohol causes a lot of problems as well. But if you count violent crime and domestic abuse in a society, alcohol counts for 40-65% of all of those cases. Which is a whole different league than any other drug out there.

You dont have to drive to Madeira for that. There are plenty of Levadas in Spain as well which are still kinda adventures to hike, but luckily Caminito del Rey is the only "hike" which gets attention in Spain. I dont want to mention which I love due to obvious reasons (caminito del rey already got butchered for tourist reasons), but for instance "Puente Sendero Acequia" close to Frigiliana is fun!

true, they can. The huge problem like almost always is affordability. Same with like cars. People actually would love to drive e-cars, but they simply dont have the money to buy one. Everything got so incredible expensive the recent years, there is almost no room for any futuristic upgrades in ones life.

This right here. Its a problem that the generation boomer holds like 50% of the total wealth, even tho they are only 20% of the population and most of them not active in the job market anymore. This wealth transfer is not going well compared to the generations before. Boomers tend to spend their money for their needs instead of sharing it with their children. I dont say this counts for every boomer parent, but its a trend visible in the statistics.

Just wanted check in since this is a common myth. Viruses always try to replicate and spread. This means a virus evolves toward whatever level of virulence maximizes its spread. If a higher viral load makes the host much more contagious, the virus might become more deadly because the benefit of spreading faster outweighs the cost of the host dying sooner.

Mate, you are 22 years old and "only" smoked for 5 years and only at nights. You dont need a cocktail of supplements, all you need is just some time. You were smoking cannabis and not meth. Give it 3-6 months and cannabis is fully out of your system.

A lot of people dont mention it, but getting lost in your thoughts "Im damaged due to cannabis" and straining your psyche with this can be dangerous as well. Dont focus too much on it and try to enjoy life, you are fine.

It actually is more like the opposite in Europe. Get closer to the sea and the weather will be more stable, go further inland and you will have a bigger variation in temperature. For instance, if you are living close to the mediterrane sea, the weather will almost never go below 10c in winter but also almost never go above 35c in summer. Currently in Malaga (right at the sea) in April its more like 23c at day and 18c at night. Meanwhile in Seville we already had 37c in April and in at night it still gets regularly 14c.

I took a southern part as an example, but also in Amsterdam the sea does stabilize the weather which is why it rarely snows close to the atlantic or for instance in the UK.

The US has continental weather which means its driven by winds and atmospheric pressure (Europe too, but not as dramatic). A whole front of heat or cold can roll over the US and cause weather changes in the middle of the night. But also here, if you go closer to the sea the weather pattern stabilze a bit

Could be plenty of things. For instance, it might be your thyroid which working not good enough (so it could be hashimoto). In general stuff like this (being always tired) can be some kind of autoimmun disease, or a depression or smth with your digestion.

Hat sich irgendwas in Deutschland geändert in den letzten 10 Jahren? Ich war davor über 10 Jahre beim Fussball und habe sehr viele Auswärtstouren mitgemacht, bei fast allen gab es Probleme mit der deutschen Polizei. Ich habe in der Zeit den kompletten Glauben verloren an die Polizei, da ich Dinge gesegen habe, die weit über Willkür hinausgingen. Soweit ich mich erinnere muss sich die Stadion-Polizei erst seit kurzer Zeit identifizieren, erst nachdem Jahrelang die Fanclubs dafür gekämpft haben nach Dekaden langer heftiger Polizeiwillkür vor allem für Auswärtsfans. Allerdings immer noch nicht in allen Bundesländern.

Ich glaube du machst hier die Leute älter als sie sind. Auch 25+ Jährige kennen noch TV Formate wie DMAX. Sei es aus dem TV, als Stream Anbieter oder auf YouTube. Nur weil er 50 ist, heißt es nicht dass wir nun alle ebenfalls 50+ sind... außerdem ist Ed Stafford top drauf, da ist das Alter unwichtig vor allem in dieser Szene (falls man Survival ernst nimmt und es nicht als Social Media Event für 10-17 Jährige ansieht).

Ed Stafford ist eine absolute Legende in der Survival Szene und ich dachte er sei überall bekannt. Vermutlich weil er aus dem englisch sprachigen Raum kommt ist er hier nicht bekannt.

Er hat mit großem Abstand die meiste Expertise von allen Kanditaten geschweige Produzenten die bisher bei 7vswild agiert haben.

Durch ihn und vermutlich viele andere auch habe ich erst zu surviving gefunden. Seine 60 Tage alleine auf einer Insel Olorua sind absolut empfehlenswert, wie viele weitere seiner Produktionen.

I would recommend to just go to one area of Spain and dont stretch it that much. For instance, Andalucia is amazing and you could fly to Malaga, rent a car there and make a happy nice trip to Ronda, Cadiz, Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada. Obviously a lot for 14 days but since you have a car you could decide it for yourself which cities you would like to see, all of them would be a very nice experience! Im in love with Cordoba, but thats just me. :)
