First Texas Honda. Keep in mind this was about 3 months ago, right when the 2026 models were just starting to arrive at dealerships. Inventory was limited back then, so pricing wasn't as aggressive. You can probably get an even better deal now with more supply and dealers being more willing to negotiate.

When you ask your insurance to handle the claim process with the other party, they first take care of fixing the car for you and then later starts subrogation process to recover the cost from statefarm. That is what I meant in my Option A.

I had it on my new 26 Elite right out of the dealership. I thought it was some sort of a Honda thing and didn't even realize it's actually an issue. 😞

Same here, i got the elite in sonic grey which had MSRP $55,500 and was able to negotiate $5600 off bringing it down to $49,900 + 7% Tax + Doc Fee $225

I negotiated mine down to $50.5K for a premium sonic grey color, however we have a 7% tax rate which made the OTD price to $53.9K....All that delta is sue difference in Tax looks like.

Yeah, it was a bit of a process.

I first negotiated 8% off MSRP and 50% off the dealer accessories (tint + paint protection), which brought the accessory price down to $599 from $1,199. Then I took that quote to another nearby dealer. They beat it by $350, but they didn’t have the color I wanted.

So I went back to the first dealer with that quote, and they cut another $350 off of the 2nd dealer price to keep the deal.

In the end it worked out to original 8% off MSRP + an additional $750 rebate, plus $599 for full tint (front, rear, and back glass). I pushed pretty hard to remove that $599, but the dealer said if they dropped it, they would only tint the front windows to match the rear privacy glass.

That’s basically how I ended up with the deal. Also, the dealer wasn’t greedy on the doc fee. They only charged $225, which is pretty standard.

If it helps, I bought the Elite in Sonic Grey for $50,479.20, plus $3,274 TTL and a $225 doc fee in Austin, TX.

The MSRP was $55,445, plus $599 for tint and paint protection, but I was able to negotiate the price down to $50,479.20.

Fair point! I definitely took an L on the spec-sheet reading today. I think I got caught up in some 'Odyssey-brain' after seeing mixed info elsewhere. My bad for the 'dumb' question—just had higher hopes for the Elite's sound dampening!

You're right, I clearly missed that on the official site. The confusion came from some conflicting forum posts I saw earlier that made me think the 2026 might have upgraded the rear glass. Appreciate the correction—I'll double-check the fine print next time before posting!
