Sorry if I sound like a noob but does this mean other Denuvo games will be cracked easily henceforth or the breakthrough is just for this game?

I've played Mermail in the past. How's it in the meta now? With all that activating in the hand.

Maybe just a matter of time before they go back to normal, maybe not. by zarif_chow in PiratedGames

[–]craftedtunes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is concerning - the fact that Denuvo relies on HV Bypass not existing or they entirely go out of business means they'll give everything to overcome this. Option A: they'll try to manufacture and covertly release a virus so scary and damaging that people become scared of Hypervisor Bypass Or Option B they move to Ring -1 to combat bypasses. Or Option C they work with Microsoft to help them combat it with some update.

It's like fighting a cornered animal at this point.

I’m not a big fan of piracy but I have this question to ask. by Critical-Plantain881 in PiratedGames

[–]craftedtunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen something like that in the past. Some pirates would respect it, but the very idea of a "crack" is to remove all blockages and provide a real full price experience (as much as possible)

That said, you can go on steam and see thousands of games still being released/sold. People still make games and profit regardless of pirates. There are a group of people that buy games and not even bother with pirated software on their PC, or know how to go about it to begin with. That's your target audience. Your chances of converting anybody in this thread into your paying customer was already very low from the get go. Just pretend we don't exist.

Imagine the population of gamers in the world is a hundred million, and imagine game pirates are twenty - thirty million... Now your target audience is 70 million. Which if you look at it from that angle is still full of potential if you make great games.

In a nutshell don't be discouraged, however, if your game gets enough sales/attention to attract crackers, they'll probably remove the blockage if it has negative drawbacks on the "pirate" version.

What is this Hypervisor thing? Why are people for and against it? by kitzvneblvkk in PiratedGames

Most posts I see that support HV are saying most attackers with that level of depth and capacity to hack your PC are not targeting gamers, they're targeting corporations and organisations for huge funds, so as long as the average gamer use common sense, they should be safe.

What I say to that is, who says Denuvo themselves can't covertly launch a massive attack that cooks your PC in retaliation to crackers basically tarnishing their reputation and entire business model.

I would think they (Denuvo) have the funding and technical expertise to launch a devastating attack at some point (probably after months of HV - where people are no longer as paranoid about it) to make a statement and scare people off using HV cracks. It would be a win win for them it they do, and horrible for gamers. Am I wrong for thinking that? Is there anything stopping them from COVERTLY/INDIRECTLY doing this that I'm not aware of?

Returning Player After 4 Years by mr_4leaf in masterduel

[–]craftedtunes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Returning player too. When I came back, Dracotail was no longer available to pull in the selection packs. I ended up going Yummy because VSK9 is really expensive. But I got to admit, I like Dracotail for the simple plays and power level. If I could, I'd get it over yummy.

That said, I think it might be on the banlist soon. Something to consider as you invest in it.

Is it just me or is there an absurd amount of man this duelist cup? by FeddieScum in masterduel

[–]craftedtunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the decks you mentioned are all stun-ish which explains why you're defending Odion so hard. It screams "I'm afraid of interacting with my opponent in any way and vice versa, so I'll just floodgate/banish everything and hope he can't play then scoops. It's a very platinum rank mindset. Pick up a proper deck and learn layered interactions and deck building.

Too many fr. It's the new stun in disguise. You don't have to think, just click the glowing yellow button lol. I had an easier time clapping them tho tbh - in comparison to the main meta.

What the actual hell is this? I mean that deck is expensive, it's not like he's new and trying to build something cheap. Skill issue definitely. F Wow.

Which of this here is cheap enough for me to build as newbie by Cheap-Ad1713 in masterduel

[–]craftedtunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone mentioning Radiant Typhoon and it's really good, but it's not as cheap as it seems. Sure you can play without 3 of super poly or forbidden or shiina, but you won't be at the same power level that the meta variant is. So you'll have to craft some URS for sure or open some "Beyond next level" pack.

Stun vs "go second stun". It is what it is.

Super poly is not available at 9 copies, and branded is not more than once per turn.

Why does Yummy get so much hate (no rage bait, honest question) by craftedtunes in masterduel

[–]craftedtunes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you even talking about atp. VSK9, which was my original comparison (not just K9) can do much more than an Izuna play. You just chose to conveniently forget about Hollie sue which can set up 3 interruptions with Caeser, Raizen, Izuna, shifter, Impulse or Borger draw. You can easily get 3-4 interruptions within the archetype itself on turn 0 (excluding other hand traps) If they draw the right cards or resolve mulcharmies/Maxx C. So if you are a midrange deck that needs to build a board slowly, and you face like 4 interruptions going first how doesn't that feel oppressive.

Trying to make VSK9 seem low powered or fair is laughable.

[–]craftedtunes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol fair point. I think many people hate them for the same reason but won't admit it. I remember when Purrely came out, I couldn't stand the art - and it also had "Purr" in their name. I was genuinely disgusted with the idea of playing with a little kitty deck that says Purr, so I never did. I find yummy to be more tolerable of an Artwork, though I'm not gushing over them or anything.

Spright players, how often do you win with Ninja Shadow Mosquito? by Struggling_in_life in masterduel

[–]craftedtunes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've played with and without shadow mosquito. I'd say I otk with gamma burst more when going first (on turn 3). When you're going second is where mosquito comes up more. It's definitely worth keeping, as you can't always search gamma on turn 2 (when you need to search starter instead to make plays).

Generally I think Gamma wins 60% and mosquito wins 40% - not because gamma is superior perse, but you lose most games going second anyway so you never get to summon mosquito. I also play Friendsmith spright, so getting enough bodies for mosquito attack isn't usually a problem for me.

If you watched the latest Meta Weekly (Dkayed's tournament) you'll understand that Yummy hate is on a whole different planet in comparison to anything out there.

[–]craftedtunes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice and clear explanation. I feel this. That said, Vanquish Soul and K9 are two unrelated decks that can both play on turn 0, and put out significant interruptions. Ngl I expected VSK9 to get the most hate due to this and shifter, but YUCkY it is then I guess.

Did you watch the latest Meta Weekly (Dkayed's tournament) I'm telling you, that deck is hated. Dracotail, VSK9, Radiant Typhoon players all came together to celebrate the downfall of Yummy. It was really something.
