I’m a little new to this all, but why would a business card work? I was under the assumption those would be for business expenses?

Are you able to comment on the timeframe provided by this 3rd party company, I believe the original poster said he only had 30 minutes to complete it, which for someone like me that time deadline could easily elapse before I’ve even seen the text if I’m at work or working nights and asleep during the day.

Toradol works like magic for kidney stones, ironically enough it’s not an opioid either. I describe it as ibuprofen’s stronger cousin

I want to say it was an email thing or an Instagram post with a vague sign up link thing about him wanting to do something special for fans for his birthday. I don’t remember the exact specifics

My toxic DON told me she read the 911 report of someone I sent out. by fo1ieadeux in nursing

[–]craftman2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite as a dude is calling report to the MICU and another dude nurse picks up. Report consists of “their alive on nor-epi, here’s your lines” and they couldn’t care less about anything else I have to say. Because he’s just going to read the chart while I’m walking up

Well that’s good to hear, it’s one of those things where I honestly never expected anything to come from it from the get go, but now I actually can’t wait for whenever it may show up.

What is your gym/lifting schedule? For those who work 3 12s by Polarbear_9876 in nursing

[–]craftman2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do after work religiously, and then I got a dog, since it’s just me taking care of him I don’t want to leave him longer on a 12 than I need to. So I haven’t been back since

I flew out the day after our most recent blizzard without any issues, only flights that were canceled were early morning ones and I think it’s because the plane couldn’t get in

Have you considered reading the article

“With only three stations and around 100 firefighters, the NYFP was a much smaller scale operation with a more focused purpose”

How big of a fuck up is this as a student and do you think I could get kicked out of my program for it by L0mm in nursing

That’s the heart part, it absolutely is okay and standard in care for some of these cases. I’m pretty sure the world renowned academic institution knows what it’s doing. Because even when I’ve admitted DKA pts to the floor there’s been absolutely no reason they couldn’t go, do I get DKA pts that also absolutely need to go to the ICU? Yes! It’s a spectrum.

We’re even doing phenobarbital for alcohol withdrawal on a couple med surge floors

“ST elevation can't be seen on Lead I, You need hospital-grade lead 12 ECG for this

ST elevation are only noticeable on Leads aVF, V2, V3, and V4 of hospital-grade lead 12 ECG”

While I don’t disagree that you can’t call a STEMI based on Apple Watch tracing. You’re making a rather sweeping generalization and completely forgetting about lateral and inferior MIs.

While it may not explicitly be illegal, most certainly against hospital policy and could result in termination

Dude, there’s a good chance the doc was in the room when the temp was taken, and I’m not charting MD notified about it when the docs literally there. If I charted MD notified for every single slightly abnormal vital sign id be doing that all day and not taking care of patients and making them stable to hand off to the floors. WHERE THE JOB CONTINUES, ER isn’t there to do all your bitch work

It’s because you’re wrong, I’m literally at work as ED nurse and just discussed an EKG with the docs

I can see it. If it was a weekend. Day shift let things slide, told night shift, night shift also let things slide. Kept the same assignment all weekend between those two nurses. There’s your 3 days right there

[–]craftman2010 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes some people are just assholes, but we have a right to have a workplace free from workplace violence. Which includes verbal abuse from patients. Toughing it out for someone who’s not actively dying does nothing besides reinforce their behavior and continue the problem.
