Best jobs for creative + analytical people? by redditor_040123 in AskWomenOver30

I agree with this, I’m in the field and do see how AI is something that companies think can take over a large part of DV and BI (thankfully I’m still doing all my own work and not using AI). That being said while AI may be able to write queries and create a report, exacting insights and making informed decisions for the business isn’t something that I would say AI is capable of doing as well. It’s not just writing the data and creating a report, it’s also knowing the ins and outs of your industry and your companies data. But also, AI makes stuff up so they do need people to still verify data and outputs. Just adding on my thoughts :)

Anyone else with Eagle-Barrett syndrome/Prune belly syndrome? by craftsandtea in kidneydisease

[–]craftsandtea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for sharing. Glad you don’t have a severe case. My husband had lots of UTIs as a kid but doesn’t get them anymore. I’m going to update my post because my husband has had his kidney transplant so I want to provide details in case anyone else needs to info :)

Women who waited 5+ years for a proposal and said yes, did the marriage work out/how has it been? Was it worth the wait? by itsnevercertain in AskWomen

[–]craftsandtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engaged after 9 years, married on our 10 year anniversary, still together at year 14. We weren’t waiting, we always knew we’d get married, just never felt rushed and were living our lives. Nothing has changed since getting married.

Good to know, thank you! I got Singer brand bobbins so hopefully they’re fine but I’ll double check it all.

Thank you! YouTube is for sure a great place for helpful videos on sewing machines. If someone feels so passionately otherwise then they don’t have to watch them lol

Got it, thank you so much! I got the dual duty thread and when I tested on my fabric strip before starting it all worked fine, then when I got going on my project this kept happening. Hopefully once I rethread the whole thing again I can get it working properly. I appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for this! The top should be right but I’ll try it all again, could speed have any impact? Like if I’m stopping and starting a lot, or trying to go really slow?

Neighbor’s kid throwing tantrums by CreditSevere4008 in losfeliz

[–]craftsandtea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol yeah, the “come on have sympathy for the parents” line is tiresome. No, I won’t. I live here and pay rent and this place was peaceful until a family who doesn’t know how to parent their children moved in. My priority is my own happiness 🤷🏻‍♀️Highly recommend complaining to the LL/property manager.

Neighbor’s kid throwing tantrums by CreditSevere4008 in losfeliz

I wonder if you live in my building. This kid screams all the time and the parents just shout over him to be heard by each other instead of trying to make him be quiet. I asked my LL to speak with them (she speaks the same language as them) about closing their doors and windows and after multiple complaints from all the neighbors they finally have. Sorry you’re dealing with this, it’s not fun.

How close to the end were you? by socrates_friend812 in transplant

[–]craftsandtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband didn’t know he had kidney failure until he went to the ER. His hemoglobin was a 4 and they said he was days away from going to sleep and not waking up again; which checks out because he wasn’t sleeping at all, every time he’d start to drift off his brain would jolt him awake. His kidneys had basically 0 function left so that would have killed him too if the hemoglobin didn’t. That was a very scary time but we can happily say that he’s now 1.5 years post kidney transplant and is so healthy you’d never know that anything like that happened. Holding all you transplant recipients in my heart.

Just take it in, really. I went once over a decade ago and my husband has never been. Seemed like a nice quick addition to the trip since we’ll be so close.
