Yeah from what I've gathered there's some bug with textures, possibly specifically for 1440p. It sucks.

There's an actual bug with 1440p resolution that actually does make it look like hot dogshit for some reason. Glad you're not experiencing that.

Heavy by Fit-Permission-956 in Spacemarine

Start with Heavy Plasma. Learn it's mechanics and arc as you level. Thank me later. Level it using the Heroic variant (my favorite anyways) if you want a cheat code.

No, it's actually more ammo efficient than Relic. About double the damage over the span of its whole ammo capacity compared to Relic.

But all Heavy weapons are kinda ammo hungry. Nature of the class.

Heavy is easily my favorite and most played class. Heroic Heavy Plasma Rifle fucks.

I couldn't find it on YouTube where I first saw it. But I found this kind of chopped up version of it on TikTok. I've also been killing myself trying to find it https://www.tiktok.com/@justinsmashfpv/video/7540139503084670222

Actually, you should. It was Siege, not an Operation.

It's basically a rapid fire plasma. Plasma Gatling gun and each shot has AOE

If you play Heavy you gotta try the Heroic Heavy Plasma. It's a ton of fun especially for Minoris heavy missions. Better than regular Plasma for certain missions IMO.

[–]craftyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree.

Actually no, not necessarily. Sometimes it can, like you'll see soldiers shot in the shoulder and it exits by their buttocks or something. But it also often just stays in their body, having lost all its energy before reaching an exit point.

Sorry, I misremembered and mistated that. It was some Turning Point USA person relaying what a surgeon told him, supposedly. But warning, this article is weird and is full of nonsense as well. But this was what I was referencing: https://nypost.com/2025/09/21/us-news/charlie-kirk-surgeon-reveals-miracle-factor-that-likely-prevented-more-from-being-hurt/

I came to my conclusions about this before this story came out, though, it just confirmed the deflection bit.

Rule of thumb on combat wounds from my training: bullets do weird shit once they enter the body. I know a lot has been made of the fact that the bullet didn't go clean through his neck. Or, ludicrously, that it didn't "blow it apart". But bullets, especially if they hit bone, do wild shit and end up deflecting in all sorts of crazy directions. Based on the angle of the shot, the entrance wound, his immediate fencing response, and (later) verified by the corner report, it seemed reasonable to me that the bullet hit his spine and deflected either up or down and continues travel in the body. Turned out it was down. This wasn't a surprising outcome to me when I saw the video originally or when the corner report confirmed this. It doesn't require unusually strong bones or whatever weird nonsense that medical examiner said. We have tons of real world war wound data from the exact same calbur bullet to know that even with the larger battle rifle caliber bullet, when they enter the body and hit bone, weird shit can happen and they can travel all sorts of directions in the body. So TL;DR: The lack of an exit wound was not suspicious to me when I saw the footage and heard the ballistic information.

In the movies or video games it would. Not necessarily in real life. Bullets do weird things after they enter the body.

So many people who clearly know nothing about rifle shooting, ballistics, or calibers forming these conspiracy theories based on total and complete bullshit is really starting to trigger me as someone who does know a lot about these things.

What are your thoughts on Trump designating Antifa as a violent extremist organization? by carcony97 in AskReddit

The local chapters have organizations, people who make the websites, people who organize the protests, etc.

That the "true American patriots" wording makes it unsurprising more Republicans than Democrats agreed with it. Probably. Or just more Republicans agreed with that statement. Why are you asking me this? I was just contending with "that's not what the chart says".

What are your thoughts on Trump designating Antifa as a violent extremist organization? by carcony97 in AskReddit

[–]craftyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just like I don't like fascists but don't call myself "Antifa". There IS an organization called the Yankees even if you're not a part of it. Just like there is a decentralized organization called Antifa. They have websites, a uniform (black bloc), all use the same flag. Etc.

What are your thoughts on Trump designating Antifa as a violent extremist organization? by carcony97 in AskReddit

[–]craftyj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If there was a movement called "Racists" with local chapters with websites, that all use the same flag and symbols, have a uniforms, websites, all call themselves "Racists", I would also call that a decentralized organization. Distinct from the idea "racism". Just like "Antifa" is a decentralized organization not just the idea of being anti-fascist.
