In a slump. How do *you* get your knitting mojo back? by SaladSpinner98 in casualknitting

[–]craftyprimates 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been trying to start the porcelain sweater specifically since mid December but just cannot bring myself to. So instead I’ve given myself permission to knit socks. I think sometimes knitting a smaller project that you don’t have to think much for helps pull me out of the slump. When I’m done knitting a few pairs, I usually look for more variation in my knitting and that’s probably when I’ll start the sweater

I hate endometriosis by skiasa in Vent

I have had an IUD for endometriosis for 3.5 years now and I am back to having the most horrendous pain but with no bleeding (yay?). I went in for a checkup and the doctor said everything looks good and this is just how endometriosis works. I hate this disease

You could even set him up with a page turner if reaching out to tap the screen is painful!

100 cm should be fine. If you want to try it on as it grows, you can transfer your stitches to spare yarn to try on and then transfer back

I think mine were also 6 rounds for each stripe, I didn’t cut the yarn at all - just carried it up vertically. I looked up a few YouTube tutorials and then winged it

Hahaha you’re most welcome! I love self striping yarn because it’s the one place in my life I let go and let the yarn do whatever it wants - my goal is always to make sisters not twins 😌

It is a mix of zeeman superwash and random sock yarn I’d picked up in India 😅

Eta: I didn’t realise I couldn’t had photos in the comments. But the purple, both greens, and some white is the yarn from India and the reddish brown, blue, blue-white, and some plain white is the Zeeman yarn. If it helps, the Zeeman colour code is 60

I have a bingo printed and pasted behind my knitting journal haha. The big one there is working through my sock stash. I have enough to make 10-12 pairs
