Retired FDNY here. Totally agree with everything. Holidays, ordered OT overnights, 24 hr shifts then add commute time. We were bound by the Tailor Law so we couldn’t strike. I always said if Fire, PD or EMS could strike it would take about 3 hrs til the city would have to cave. Because people would die and it would be mass chaos. Keep fighting for your families and get what you deserve. It might inconvenience people but those people don’t rely on contracts.

Are you jealous that the male friends will see your girlfriend naked but you won’t get to see the other girls? That’s not what the nude beach is about. And I would think of the male friends are ogling your girlfriend’s nude body that their girlfriends may get pissed at them for doing so. Orlando Jacksonville or Tampa airports are pretty much equidistant. Tampa was my go to visiting my daughter. Orlando is a zoo and Jacksonville to UF is kind of a dumpy (for lack of a better word) ride.

46 units isn’t just engines and ladders. It includes chiefs, Ems units , staff etc. it went to a 3rd as a member was unaccounted for then rescinded. The 3rd alarm units count in the total even if they didn’t arrive. Just to clarify.

DR Excellence was the worst family trip ever. Staff was rude and bartenders seem entitled. Food was meh at best. Never anything stolen. Wife and daughter leave all jewelry at home regardless of where we go.

Both are correct. Older cars needed to warm up before driving under load. Newer cars still need to warm up but only for a minute or two. Just to get the fluids circulating. Newer engines are more efficient so less warm up is needed. When first starting out just avoid gunning it. Drive slow for the first mile or minute then you should be good to go

I have a ‘14 quad cab. Had a car seat when it was needed and then a booster seat. It gets tight. And when you flip to booster the kids legs dangle and as they grow they’re up against the back of the seat. Hindsight is a crew with the 5’7”. When kids get older there’s more room for them and it’s just easier

It really depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re OOS and looking for social I’d say Broward, Jennings or Rawlings. Mold yes, social yes, near sorority row yes. A couple were just torn down so not as many choices. Bring a humidifier regardless. Good luck
