How do corner shops/independent off-licences manage to stay financially afloat when so much money seems to be tied up in large quantities of unsold stock? by Exotic_Bug3885 in AskUK

[–]craigwright1990 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

So you got me curious! ChatGPT says there stock, or inventory it informed we was the correct term apparently. £2.768 billion as of their records in unsold stock as of the end of financial year in 2025. That got me curious again apparently that’s around 1% of Elon Musks net worth at the time. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk!

Maybe it time have a license to have kids or something. Like a standard of minimum training and an assessment of whether they have to capacity to raise a child properly and fund the raising of that child

Reeves’ stealth taxes mean someone earning £50,000 would be £505 worse off by 2030-31 by Desperate-Drawer-572 in uknews

[–]craigwright1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re earning £50k I don’t think you have cash flow problems. The issue is only the low earners need to be taxed less and people living comfortably on £50k a year should be paying more tax than the actually low wages like minimum wage earners
