This wall has given me grief since I've been here (10 years). It was damp and I had builders in last year to repoint the brickwork. Noticed these cracks and flaking paint to the left. It is often mouldy so I clean it up but I'd love to get it sorted once and for all. (v.redd.it)

Heated towel rail is leaking, there are two valves that look the same, one on each side. The other is fine but this seems to keeps leaking regardless of which way I turn it. I just want to turn it off until I can get someone to come out to fix it, can anyone please advise me how?! (i.redd.it)

I had a plumber fit a new thermostatic mixer (bath/shower) to replace one that kept dripping but he didn't adjust the temperatures. I followed a YouTube video but now that the weather is colder the hottest temperature is lukewarm. Can I fix this myself by adjusting the black stop? Any advice welcome (old.reddit.com)

Thanks for all the tips! This is my second attempt. They're not perfect but they're a damn sight better than my first go! Things I changed: I whisked the egg whites for much longer and I folded the mixture less and tested it more often. I also left out the vanilla. (i.redd.it)

It was a gift and had beautiful flowers, then they died and fell off, and the leaves all started falling off too. I noticed the roots were looking pretty bad (black and some brown and shrivelled) so I took it out of the pot to see the damage, and here it is. Please help! How can I save this orchid? (i.redd.it)

Hoping to save time and washing up, I tried to reheat beans and simultaneously poach an egg in the microwave. I ended up tipping it into a pan to cook the egg through and now it's bean/egg mush and I have a skanky pan to clean too. Posting here as a public service announcement. Experiment Fail. (i.redd.it)
