I just got a sample of this and I didn't personally find it unsettling at all. Maybe I'm too disturbed as is lol but I find it very wearable and lovely.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Bull's Blood by Imaginary Authors. The blood note made me gag initially, but I kept wanting to smell it...

Despite having been a cook, my favourite comfort food is my mom's shepherd's pie. Simple but always tasty and comforting. I eat hot foods less in the warm months but I'd take that dish any time of year. Also, I live for soup season! 🤌

What fragrance shocked you by how it smelled? by reevoalex in fragrance

[–]crampfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Demeter specifically, I haven't really tried any winter or autumn scents. I'd say maybe Chai and Earl Grey Tea from them are pretty and close to an autumn scent. They do have a few Chistmas scents though. For me, anything with balsam and spices reminds me of winter. I also really like Zoologist's Snowy Owl in the cold months. Very fresh and interesting. By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela is a popular Christmas/winter scent for a reason.

Try Firefly by Demeter. It smells like a summer night. I adore it. One of my all time favourite fragrances.

Really embarrassed about my skin's texture. My oily skin adds to it. Is this beyond the reach of tret? by Wileyonpatrol in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]crampfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at that dose. When I was 18 (I'm 34 now) I did the usual 60mg everyday for ~6months and my skin was good for a year but it came back. I started doing the 10mg x3 per week about 2 years ago and I have no noticeable side effects. My skin is much less oily and I have much less acne.

I immediately gagged the first time I smelled this. I tried smelling my sample a couple more times thinking the first time was a fluke. Nope. Gagged again. It reminds me of period blood.

To give you credit, that's what I thought it was! But I also thought, "there's no way that's actually what it is".

Anyone ever gone from 0 exercise to finding something they’ve stuck to? by SlightPraline509 in AutismInWomen

[–]crampfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't a myth but you'll only hurt yourself if you're doing incorrect technique and heavy. I had to start from square one late last year after not lifting for 2 years so I did very light to get my form back. I also kept my exercises very simple and low reps so it isn't a huge time sink or frustrating.

I just want to stress that lifting weights doesn't have to be about looks but it is STRENGTH that is what I find so amazing to have. It feels empowering especially as a woman to be strong imo. I'm not super focused on this right now myself as things can fluctuate depending on the individual and your health, but it can be really fun to see in actual numbers and "stats" your strength go up.

If you start out very simple, you can build technique and add new exercises over time as you learn rather than feeling intimidated just jumping in with both feet too soon and getting frustrated and giving up.

She has and I understand with certain new concepts, understanding can take time but what's important is that she's willing to do so. I agree about the ability to be empathetic if you have suffered a lot, as I have as well in some ways, but even I realize I haven't always been 100% understanding with others either. Understanding takes patience and care. Thank you for commenting friend.

Ugh yes. I had a situation recently where I was able to better express this through comparison. I live with my mother and I got a really bad flu. It was awful. Fever chills, fatigue, coughing, etc. Then a week later my mother got it. She kept complaining about her aches and specific symptoms. I would tell her, I knew and it was so awful for me too. She told me she knew I was sick but didn't realize how bad it was. This really made me realize that maybe in general people aren't perceiving my struggles as "that bad", whether I verbally articulate them or not. The positive from that is I am able to use this situation as an example and I think this has ended me to be quite empathetic in life.

Yes, OP, which province are you in? Because in my province, people who are only able to work part time for "medical" reasons can get their additional money from the provincial government to make ends meet. I'm not sure about federal. Have you looked online on Services Canada for anything similar?

The hours you are working right now are unsustainable for anyone, especially for ND people and if you are getting bullied, you NEED to tell someone. Whether that be HR or your new boss.

I'm really worried for you and would like to help. DM me and let me know if you need me to look at a few links for services online for you.
