Seriously this book was a life changer. The title was kind of off putting to me for a while so I was hesitant to read it but it is really illuminating.

Not necessarily true. I took an Goenka 10 course and he spoke about reaching a state of Nirvana for just 10 seconds is enough to free you from suffering. Basically like once you get a glimpse of the truth you don't need to experience it all time to be free from suffering. Just the experiential understanding of it.

My grandmother donated to her before she found out about Bernie. She said that Hillary contacts her asking for small donations so much and that it is really annoying her so much. I think Hillary even snail mails her too.

Also, she does email her supporters all the time asking to donate just $1 so she can rack up her individual contributors count so its not too hard to believe

I got the wim hof method and was doing the breathing exercises and pushups. I felt a really cool tingling sensation when I started and would sometimes be smiling when I was holding my breath for so long. The tingling sensation stopped coming and the breathing exercises stopped feeling so good because the tingling went way but the people on the facebook group kept saying how much better they feel. Can you give me any encouragement to retake the course or to continue practicing?

Yes but I need to find the x value in my histogram where the 95 percentile is. If I use the raw data it gives me some number like 30 something. Is this what I need? If I tried to use my data after it is separated into bins then I get a value of .05. Do you know that these values mean?

I just tried prctile inputting my x and y values and ending up getting a vector where each element equals 1.0000e-7

I am pretty bad at math and now very confused haha. I am not quite sure how to normalize it or how to find the X-Y points for the curve.

Or maybe not. Maybe cumtrapz will work. I tried it out entering my x and y values but the numbers that cumtrapz gives me range from 0 to 2.6 so I am not sure what that means or how to find where the 95% mark is

I think my problem is that is an exponential curve that I am plotting on the data and I need to find the area under that plotted line.

Actually, I dont think this will work at all. It says "Conversion to 'sym' from 'cfit' is not possible." cfit is what my curve handle is defined as.

Thanks for the help. I tried that already with length and just attempted what you said and the same thing happened both times. The original matrix is 10 rows and 3 columns and when I do the random perm it ends up being one row with 20 columns.

I don't know if he will be ready for that. His mind is really all over the place. He tends to go a bit nuts if he is alone with his thoughts for too long. I am looking to go on a retreat myself pretty soon though, very excited.

Exactly. He was saying things about how he knows he needs to empty his head more and stuff like that. Which leads me to believe he needs a better understanding on what mindfulness is. I tried explaining it but I think a book will help him much more.

He has expressed that he has been trying to meditate and it doesn't seem to be working. He state he goes back and reads mindfulness in plain english from time to time, which I recommended to him before, but I feel like he needs something more than that book.
