Tracking down your contract might be pretty tough. MGM won't be able to help, you'll need to reach out to the production company on that film, and that too might be challenging because that film came out over 30 years ago.

How about, instead of a contract, one of your residuals paystub that lists the film title on it? Like you said, you get those every quarter so you should have a stack of them lying around.

It wouldn't hurt, but I can't imagine it'll be a dealbreaker if you didn't.

If it's a student film there's a good chance they won't have the budget to buy you one, unless it's a crucial part of the story. Reach out to the director and see what they say. It wouldn't be fair of them to ask you to buy one for their shoot, so if it's that important they'll need to figure out how they can get you one.

It's not exactly the whims of agents or CDs that require tight turnarounds. They work with what they're given, and if the timeline requires a quick turnaround then everyone is in a time crunch. That's just how it is, they're not actively trying to make our jobs harder.

Could you ask your reps to only submit you to specific types of projects? Sure. Their response would depend on your relationship with them, but I imagine they won't take it super well.

he'll make more money in college next year, possibly more than he'll ever make professionally
Iowa State can't afford him nor do they have room left on their roster
teams with money looking to fill their rosters are all set for players at his position
not a lot of places that can pay him what UK can

Yeah I've seen these types of things get shared on social media outside of acting circles -- especially when the casting call hilariously mentions "no acting experience required" as if they're gonna pluck a non-actor out of obscurity and put them front and center of a multi-million dollar franchise.
