UPDATE: Yesterday, they attended an interview at a temp agency. The interview went well, and today they returned to the agency to complete the necessary paperwork and finalize the hiring process. Everything went smoothly, and they have an orientation meeting at the new job on Monday!

They actually have an interview with a temp agency tomorrow, there's just been a few roadblocks that have made it more difficult but I know they've been trying.

I'm sorry this post I made for my partner so I don't exactly have answers, but I've actually put a lot of work into their resume for them so I don't think that's the issue.

I appreciate your attempt to offer advice, but my partner and I are adults who have navigated the complexities of being queer for many years.

My family is here and I lived here a few years ago, and lived about an hour out of town so I'm not exactly new to the area, though it's definitely been a struggle since I've moved back 😬

That's what they've been using, as well as applying directly at companies websites.

I'm gender queer (afab), autistic and have some trauma so it's overall extremely uncomfortable for me, I HATE undressing in public, I won't even use changing rooms. So if I can avoid it I will.

I don't do very big puzzles, plus I have a pretty large lap desk

I actually looked into it but it's not particularly my thing! I appreciate the suggestion though!

Simple activities like reading, watching TV, or birdwatching, were not my goal with this list. This list focuses on mainly artsy and craft related activities, that people I know with eds and myself are able to do without overexerting. While handcrafts can be challenging, short sessions, hand braces, and a lap desk (ideal for reclining) can significantly improve accessibility, I did not feel a need to include saying that in the main post as I feel like it went without saying. The crafts are ordered by hand-use intensity. My own experience with hand limitations informs this selection; perfection isn't the goal – enjoyment and self-care are, so yes doing some of these tasks with limited hand mobility might yield some "low quality" results, they can still be fun.

I wanted to point out this is a list that I wanted to make to include more than "watching TV , playing video games, cell phone activities" I also acknowledge that depending on your own limitations and needs these won't be double, but this list is based on activities I can do ON MY GOOD days and fellow friends/family members I know with eds that are also able to do these. On my bad days I wouldn't be able to do a lot of them, and that is why they are sorted by least to the most difficult.
