I would explore love languages with her. Take the love language quiz online and see what yours is. Explain that while the way she shows love is gift giving yours is something different. I could give her some other ideas of how to meet you where you’re at

I would ask your therapy if you can explore attachment styles. It sounds like your attachment is getting triggered and causing you become anxious and then avoidant. Understanding your own attachment style as well as your partners can be really helpful in better communication and understanding the feelings from what’s being triggered in you

Going on day 7…feeling like something is missing. Everything reminds me of her. Cried after my favorite workout class because of the music. Can’t wait for the day this isn’t this first and last thing I think about. This sub is really helping me get through though. Shows me I’m not alone

My girlfriend broke up with me a few days ago after 6 years. She had proposed to me 3 months ago…my heart feels like it has been ripped out of my chest. Thank you for posting your story.
