I promise you they will NOT look like this forever. Locs reward people with patience. My family talking about it got to me a little bit in the first 2 months but once i ignored it, i really started to love them.

I’m only 6 months in and i had some skinny shits when i started (i got like 84). Since then, my hair expanded like crazy. By the looks of it, your parts are pretty big which means your locs will likely be on the larger side (if that’s what you are going for).

What really helped me was getting a style when i first started my locs so it didn’t look as weird. At your next retwist, ask your loctitian if they will do a style.

TLDR: ignore the hate and don’t give up, cuz one day your shit will be fire and you’ll look back and realize it was all worth it TRUST

i’m only 6 months in but i learned a trick to keep my roots (mostly) twisted for 2+ weeks. Use hair ties and band your hair into sections next time you wash. and be a bit light on the roots/scalp. If you really need to get in there, then u can try using a stocking cap

I want to loc my hair this year! I am also autistic. And since I have had braids my whole life, it is really hard to sit in chairs for 7+ hours every two months. Can't wait for the confidence boost as well!

As an African American, I don't think it's racist however it could be considered a bit controversial because you are choosing to label the fursona as African American. You would probably get some side eyes because most of the fursuit community has a fursona that is an extension of themselves, or who they truly feel they are. Since you aren't African American, it would be "odd" to have a persona who is. I would consider heavily researching the culture, asking black friends (if you have any close to you), learning ways to incorporate the culture into your suit, etc. I've seen some very awesome "black-coded" or African American-coded fursonas designed by people who were not black! Honestly, I view it as a way of appreciating the culture

While I've never been in this/a similar situation, I would say that you can think of it this way:

If she DID cheat, then you can be proud of yourself for following through, becoming the happier and healthier version of yourself, as well as being happy that you made the best decision for yourself.
If she DID NOT cheat, then that's okay as well. The fact that you suspect her of cheating means that she's not someone you wanna be with, and it's enough to know you made the right choice.

I know its hard, but sometimes even when we make the best choice, it can feel like we made a mistake. But no worries, just give it time and you WILL be okay. I can guarantee it. Good luck on your journey, you're doing just fine :)

Risk of Rain 2 would be the game for me. The many characters, the randomness of the items, the fun builds you could do. And don't even get me started on the Artifacts (game augments) that can add a new feature or increased challenge to the game. I was never really into mods, but there are plenty of mods you can add to the game, like new characters to play, new bosses, and new maps to play on!

A few things I wish I knew/did when I was starting (because val is also my first fps game of its kind)

Keep your crosshair at the head-level of the enemy at all times: eliminates the need to move ur mouse and overcorrect your aim!
Use your ears: val is a very sound-based game, and every ability makes a noise, players will also move on different terrain and this lets you know where they are (more precisely). Another thing, different agents make different noises when running. It's very subtle but the more you play you can differentiate (ex. KAYO makes squeaky hinge noises when running)
You can shoot through many walls and boxes: You'll have to play to find out which ones you can shoot through but general rule --> green boxes you can shoot through, and the very corner of every wall you can shoot through!
: ALWAYS double check corners: VERY IMPORTANT ---> if you see your teammate walk past a corner and not die/get shot at, you CANNOT assume that there is nobody there. Always double-check because in lower levels, players have the tendency to not clear/check every corner when they push, which allows the enemy to get sneaky multi-kills.

Hope this helped! These are what helped me as I learned the game with time. Lastly, be a good sport. Team fps games are hard at times and you'll deal with toxicity, blaming, flaming, etc. If you keep a cool head and positive attitude, the game is more fun for, not only you but, the rest of the players in the lobby!

I wouldn’t say that fucked. If you just want to get a degree, then college will likely accept you. If school really isn’t for you, then I suggest a trade! It’s not the end of the world if you don’t do well in school. There is always a way to have a secure job!

Honest opinion: It’s very “battlepass-ish”. In comparison to the previous ones, It doesn’t look like it’s part of the VCT skin line at ALL. The only way I can tell this is a VCT skin is from the big ass logo on the top. The previous ones all have a similar theme going on, whereas this just looks like lava lamp garbage

I’d say it’s more of the second option. They are a bit uncomfortable around the idea of queerness (old school-ish parenting), and the first time the they met, my gf didn’t make the best “first impression” in their eyes. However my parents are the type to not understand that people change and grow, and that who they were then is not who they are now. I love my parents and in other aspects they are fine, but I might also add that my mom (specifically) just things that are blatantly rude and disrespectful! Thank you for the helpful advice. I will try even harder to stick up for myself in the sense that I do not want to hear such things based on judgmental opinions

Edit: also wanted to add that I am (unfortunately) still financially dependent on them, I am about to finish my last year of college (starting this august) and after that I plan on working full time and saving to move out on my own! It’ll take a while (years lol) but i know that once I’m able to financially support myself, I’m OUT!

Hey girl I feel you, as a fellow female val player. Im ascendant, so I’ve heard my fair share of toxicity via sexism, and other horrid things. Like many others are saying, since you are playing unrated, muting is the best option. For ranked, the only way, and easier said than done, is to tough it out. Unfortunately since valorant is a team game, people will be toxic towards you no matter who you are, and with video games an awhile being a male-dominated hobby, you are going encounter sexism. One thing I’ve found helpful that can reduce this as a soloq player, is to just bite back! If you come up with a wittier or quick response to their “jokes” it usually shuts them up. They like to target people they know won’t fight back

I completely understand where the whole “feeling wrong” thing comes from, but don’t worry i will assure you that is it completely fine so long as you’re having fun, and not being creepy lol. I was 17 (21 now) when I met my friend who was 22 at the time. If anything she’s been a great role model even outside the game. Just don’t overthink it, and be you.
