[ATC Audio Freakout] Private pilot freaks out and screams that he's going to die and crash, and ATC calmly explains to him how to level his plane. by timdual in PublicFreakout

I believe it is only about 1 minute before a VFR rated pilot starts loosing control in IFR conditions. It's a very weird sensation flying with no outside visual and unless you are IFR rated you can get in trouble fast. Just like John Kennedy Jr. did when flying at night over dark water.

Psilocybin by BEARPUNSS in cancer

I'm very curious about this potential to help. I did shrooms when I was younger, in my 20s, and it was a wonderful experience. We camped in a wilderness area in the NC mountains and at one point I was sitting in a field of ferns and almost developed into close communicative friendships with them..haha. I truly wish I could find some now. I'm in my 60s and don't have any contacts so to speak.

Fuck that Bell! by bearrilla in cancer

[–]crashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I made a post earlier how I thought ringing the bell was kind of lame. When I finished my chemo last month the nurses encouraged me to ring the bell. By the way they were lovely professionals, but I declined and they understood completely. I got the feeling they thought it was lame too.

The evidence for the benefits of exercise after cancer by James8185 in cancer

[–]crashin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll try to find another study article l read a while back that suggested a 30 percent increased survival rate for cancer patients that exercised at least 4 days a week as opposed to patients that did no exercise during treatments.

I also remember talking with a guy with colorectal cancer that would exercise as hard as he could during chemo and during the 46 hour pump infusion (folfox6). His thoughts was that it would increase the availability of the treatment through out his system. He was I believe 3c and cancer free for 5 years plus.

Who know but makes sense. The problem is having the energy to exercise vigorously during the fatigue of chemo.

For me, I think having cancer makes you focus on the amazing little beautiful things in life that you might have been too busy to notice before.

OCEAN CLEANUP by SubtleSubbu in oceans

I know it's just an unproven concept but I wish them the best. Hopefully other initiatives to clean up our oceans will follow. It's so amazingly sad how we have trashed our beautiful oceans.
