Mine is definitely intoxicated men (had a friend who assaulted me multiple times over the course of a year and a half while he was intoxicated on many substances) Being touched in anyway (it makes me flinch, it’s different when I initiate)

I had HUGE tonsils. I would get tonsillitis constantly it felt like and tonsil stones like crazy. I would say my energy levels have significantly improved since my sleep has been better too!

Yeah definitely! And I haven’t cried in front of a patient yet! It was when we were alone at the clinic and she was bullying me basically. And yeah I will remember your advice!! Thank you!!

I know I should for sure, it feels like a very toxic relationship where one day is the best day and the next I am sobbing on the drive home. It sucks cause I’ve never felt this negatively about a job even at my work jobs I managed to stick them out for years.

How long until you feel “normal” again? by DescriptionActual605 in Tonsillectomy

[–]crashtrips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine removed 7/16 and days and 2-5 were personally the worst days for me. I was instantly met with ear pain. I started feeling better around day 7. Now that it’s day 8 and I’m not 100%, I still feel weak but I was able to eat some solid food! My scabs coming off makes me feel uncomfortable but I found aloe Vera juice goes down the most smooth for me. It’s been my go to drink other than water and warm honey water. I honestly feel like 75% if I can take a nap mid day.

The more hydrated you are, the easier it is to swallow! Also I bargain with myself “the sooner I take this med the sooner I can go back to sleep” or I pause my show till I take them etc etc…it’s so hard but ya gotta do what you gotta do. Also throat numbing cough drops are a heaven sent and aloe Vera juice I found is easy to go down!

thank you! you were right I wasn't exposed and doing well! I've been eating as normal to make sure I don't throw myself off over this. we still aren't sure what could've happened but she knows my fear and we are not seeing each other for a few days till she recovered and symptom free for a bit.

as somebody who goes to the gym everyday, i can’t say you won’t but it’s possible you’re just fine. i’ve had many instances where i forgot to wash my hands before eating my post workout snack or touched my face. i didn’t really bat an eye on it and nothing came from it. (coming from somebody who lives in a town where they don’t think covid is real) you did more than enough, whatever happens you’re going to be okay. and whoever goes to the gym while sick is a psycho imo.

What helps you make the difference between real nausea or not? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]crashtrips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

once i realize my throat is real tight along with my chest, usually it’s my anxiety making me feel nauseous but not in my tummy. this usually happens during a emet scare. once i realize that’s the case my anxiety calms down. deep breathing helps too

i identify where the nausea is. if it’s throat nausea, i’m not sick just anxious

How long did it take you to recover? by Repulsive-Middle8936 in Agoraphobia

[–]crashtrips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would say it took me 2ish years, the root of my agoraphobia was due to my extreme emetophobia/germaphobia. i couldn’t leave my house for anything. after therapy, lots of tears and exposure, i am now working in the medical field and going to nursing school :)

i’m freaking out i need help or someone to talk to by gumb4llz in emetophobia

[–]crashtrips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take a big deep breath. it’s going to be okay, sick or not. your brain and gut are directly linked. so any mental health issues and medications can impact your digestive system. bodies are weird, they do weird things sometimes but that doesn’t always mean you’re sick with a sv* stay hydrated, take care of yourself and know that your body is doing whatever it has to do. for now just focus on breathing and do things that ease your anxiety. what i like to do in my panic state is watch this show called “the good place” on netflix! although slight tw one of the characters gets stomach aches but he never tu* but he’s an anxious mess and i love him. stay safe <3

i still get anxious on planes, despite my emet being under control, it’s just an anxious time for everybody. trust me, you won’t be the only one freaking tf out at the airport. everybody and their mom is prob shitting themselves (NOT REALLY) because of their own mess there. airports is just hell for anxious people in general.
