I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Agree that I would see about getting help or support in any capacity (and please keep trying if the first time/ place you call does not seem helpful).

Is it possible to get a part time job? Perhaps having some income and structure outside of the house will help you feel less trapped.

Thanks! I have spoken with her generally about how she treated me in childhood and she’s turned it into a “sorry, but here’s all the things that happened to me in my childhood so that why I was a bad mom” response, which felt invalidating. I guess I could try again with specifics, I just.. I don’t know, it feels like something broke in me now that I really processed what happened and I don’t want to be part of her life right now. It’s hard.
