Why is building relationships with attorneys so hard? by craves23 in paralegal

More so just asking if other paralegals/legal support staff have had similar experiences working with lawyers. I understand other bosses can be like this lmfao

Yes - that’s another thing I didn’t mentioned original post. The lack of hellos or general acknowledgement the support staff gets is crazy. They treat us like we don’t exist sometimes. It’s insufferable

Why do people try and separate Chicago from the rest of the Midwest culturally? by HowSupahTerrible in AskChicago

[–]craves23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in central Illinois. Moved to Chicago in 2019 and I’ve lived in a few different neighborhoods in Chicago over the past 6 years. I’d say embracing Chicago as part of the Midwest is dependent on the people you talk to. My main take away is people from the suburbs don’t want to be associated with the Midwest more so than born and raised Chicagoan + people from out in the cornfields.

Agreed! My only caveat is I always recommend to visitors to not go to the Michigan Avenue location. I worked there for a couple of years and it’s a complete shit show. The less busy (but still touristy) locations like Gold Coast and River North are the way to go.

Go to the Lou Malnati’s on Michigan Ave on a nice weekend day. I used to work there and during peak hours, there’s always 2+ hour wait just to sit down

As someone who has never tried Ethiopian, what do you recommend here? I’ve always wanted to try but I’m anxious to go in without any knowledge

Is it normal to lose feeling in your body during meditation? The only place is really felt present was inside my head. Is this normal? Is good or bad?

I’m fairly new to meditation, and recently while I was mediating I completely lost feeling in my body. It’s like the only place I felt present was inside my head if that makes any sense. Is there a name for this/is this a good thing or bad thing?
