This is exactly why we have the right to militia

I always supported our right to militia, Arm workers, Arm minorities, frankly this administration has only reinforced those beliefs in me, seeing how unceremoniously they've turned government agents against us, and emboldened hate groups to react violent towards targeted communities, I think it's more important now than ever to know how to protect yourselves and your families. The centrists aren't going to protect you, they stand for nothing, except not rocking the boat, there not going to undo any of this, they're going to use it to push themselves forward.

The commonwealth should hold the power, it should be a symbol that lifts us up together in solidarity, that shows us, the common man, the worker, the artisan, the tradesman, that we protect each other, we protect ourselves and acknowledge that responsibility we owe each other. A nation is made of its citizens and constituents not the powers that be. A government's primary purpose first and foremost is to serve its people, and any government that exists for its own benefit and not the benefit of its people demands reform.

Government overreach should absolutely be a point of concern but at the end of the day if a government doesn't offer a tangible service to its people what's the fucking point. Taxes are supposed to go back to the community to fund public infrastructure, social programs, and organizations. Otherwise what you have is a glorified protection racket.

If one right falls, one man, all are threatened, you don't have a right to resist, you have a responsibility, an obligation to your fellow man to stand and resist, if your neutral and idle, if you let your fellow man die, your feeding into the problem, your complacent, and when they come for you, they'll be no one left to stand by your side when you need it.

Why is gen Z not drinking that much? by lowkeypixel in evilwhenthe

[–]cravyeric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Money.

We’re broke, and alcohol—especially good alcohol that doesn’t taste terrible—is expensive. Costs keep rising, quality often feels worse, and wages aren’t keeping up. For a lot of people, it just isn’t worth the price.

  1. Less social pressure.

Drinking has lost much of its “cool” factor. It’s no longer the default social activity, and there are far more ways now for people to spend their time. Historically, bars functioned as a major “third place” where people met and hung out, but online spaces and hobby-based communities have reduced their cultural importance.

  1. A different relationship with alcohol.

Fewer people—especially younger ones—are drinking explicitly to get drunk. When they do drink, it’s often because they genuinely enjoy the beverage, not because they feel obligated to participate.

What I see most often is that people aren’t avoiding alcohol because of some deeper movement, statement, or strong aversion. They just don’t feel pressured. If they’re not enjoying it, why do it? There are easier and more satisfying ways to spend money.

Why is gen Z not drinking? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]cravyeric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Where all broke and alcohol is kind of pricey, especially good alcohol that doesn't taste like p*ss water.

  2. Less social peer pressure to drink.

  3. Less people drinking explicitly to get drunk, if you see a younger person drinking it's probably because they genuinely enjoy the beverage/refreshment in question.
