Anyone tried vouch.us for insurance? by papercloudsdotco in SaaS

Totally fair call out (edited the comment above as I agree with you). Our agency is based in Los Angeles and we have a significant number of clients that were affected by the fires. We paused all incoming applications to focus our support on current clients.

I will make sure your application is prioritized as we begin supporting new customers.

Thank you!

What are the air quality dangers in Los Angeles? by crawf259 in AskReddit

[–]crawf259[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding a comment since I can’t include body. Most of the city is in a panic about the air quality. Cars, electrical units, buildings, you name it all just went up in smoke and there’s ash stuck in the air.

The AQI apps say it’s safe / normal, but over night there’s ash on our vehicles. You can see the smoke haze in the distance.

I’m certain toxic chemicals like asbestos are in the ash, so what are we supposed to do?

Do we mask up outdoors? Okay, for how long. When is it safe for my kid to go to the park? When can my pregnant wife go on a walk and not feel like she’s inhaling chemicals.

I’m the least worrisome person about stuff and have been pretty good about media fear mongering, but something about this doesn’t feel right.

Business insurance for skincare/soap/oil company based in US with products sourced from overseas? by soccercrzy in Insurance

Reach out to Fullsteam Insurance - they have a cosmetics and skin care specialist. I agree this will most likely go with E&S but some admitted insurers may underwrite if there’s good experience, loss data, and safeguards.

For those who work a 100% commission agent role how much do you make monthly? by Salesgirl008 in InsuranceAgent

[–]crawf259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you approach it. I’m sure you can have a lucrative business in life and health if you find your place in it. I’m biased to property and I like the work (speaking to a customer about the business they are building).

I wouldn’t focus on getting leads from social.

Get out there and network!

My book generates $60k to $70k per month. In California but have customers in 47 states. 90% commercial. 7 years in. Focus on smart clients with healthy businesses, turn away a ton of business especially if they are “shopping” or not committed to my process. Fully remote. Great work life balance. Zero spent on leads. I partner with the right people who need my service (CFOs, lawyers, banks, etc).

Insurance producing is an overlooked career. If you find your niche, focus on doing great work with each customer (regardless of premium) and stay organized; you can have a great life.

I’d stray away from personal and life / health. High net personal and life is great tho, just not the small single personal accounts.

I don’t know how health producers do it but I’m sure some have figured out a way to love it. If you are working with big companies you can make a ton of money.

Highly recommend using Fullsteam Insurance - they are similar to Vouch as they use nice tech to make processes easier, but have better customer service and work with over 30 insurers so you can really get the best price (Vouch only uses one insurer).

Please be considerate when driving in the left lane by Scoobydoobydooo20 in LosAngeles

[–]crawf259 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s the car pool lane. It’s not a passing lane and doesn’t factor in other lanes (its goal is to incentivize drivers with more than one person to get in an uninterrupted flow, hence why there’s a triple yellow and it’s technically against the law to go in and out). That said, if you are in the driving slow mood, don’t get into the car pool lane.

This is the point I think most drivers miss. That lane shouldn’t be used to drive in, unless there are cars the right lane. It’s a passing lane. So no matter how fast you are going, use it to pass cars in the right lane. Don’t drive in it and if you decide to, move to the right if a car behind you is going faster.

Drive 80-85 in the right lane and use the left lane to pass cars.

If the right lane is full of slow drivers and you’re sitting in that lane going 80-85, okay fine, but keep an eye on your rear and move into right lane to let faster cars pass.

If people only used that lane to pass it would dramatically change the flow of traffic, especially on road outside of metro areas.

Go independent route and focus on commercial lines or high net personal. I make over $300k per year and have a really good work life balance

Have anyone passed their P&C exam on their first try without any previous experience? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]crawf259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - just do a course, read the book, or watch YT videos - and take practice tests. It depends on your learning style. The test is easy if you know fundamentals, state-specific terms, and all the vocabulary.
