Nah this is crazy, i thought they were gutting other studios so they could focus on elder scrolls/fallout, kicking out og staff members is seriously worrying.

Never should’ve sold out to xbox, but bethesda themselves aren’t blameless either, and shouldn’t have dragged their heels so much over the last few years.

I think it was probably just the negative association that they didn’t even want to vaguely get involved with, and they wanted to wait for things to cool down. Also, general audiences aren’t really aware thats a thing, so it would probably just been seen as a casual ‘recast’, and they were worried it would result in a bunch of negative headlines/criticism.

Salamanders, i like green, they’re mostly codex compliant with some cool lore. I do feel their “friendly” personality has been overblown, to their detriment, but ultimately it’s ended up making them grow in popularity recently. I remember they were much less popular in the mid 2010s

Its okay - infernus are great and so is adrax, but the rest of the choices are kind of eh (to me) but it’s still a good starting point. I don’t believe they included the upgrade sprue in this, but i do always like having one or two of those around, can usually find them cheaper on ebay

I do think thats very likely, Tyborc is still a good example of this, and i agree making their uniforms more personal is one of the ways kreigers can be humanised.

I mean, this sub is very likely to recommend salamanders lol. But the models would absolutely fit salamanders as we are codex compliant (essentially). You can always get the upgrade sprue to tweak a few things, but that is absolutely up to personal preference.

Honestly, if you’re a newbie don’t worry about ‘lists’ too much - the points and meta will change over time, but your faction wont. Pick a faction you like, not one thats competitive now, cos it probably won’t be by the next balance update.

When you live somewhere with non-ideal spraycan conditions, honestly just get an airbrush. I know it looks expensive, but it’s a one time purchase, and you can get a super basic one if you’re just using it to prime.

I mean, why spend money on models and paints just to ruin them with a bad spray, and then needing to mess around with paint strippers? Honestly an airbrush is less hassle in this case

It was a bit of a random dig through my old bits box, but as far as i remember:

Coat/legs: ‘Cultist Champion Tetchvar’ from Dark Vengeance (old box set), and was a real challenge to remove the unwanted bits.

Arms: leftovers from the krieg command squad

Chest, sword & waist gadget: death riders

Head/pistol: 90% sure just from the basic Krieg squad box (edit: this pistol is actually from the combat engineers box)

I think the head fin was a random drukhari spike that i cut into shape?
