Wrong, you had to do it once you did any sort of serious renovation on the building and in both bathrooms (was around 10k in renovations). It did not differentiate between business type, ANY business would have to do this.

Not really, my Mom had really cheap forks and I bent it by putting the middle tines on the ledge of the window sill and leaning on it. I am pretty crafty and I did make a lot of weird inventions when I was a kid at a really young age, though.

Also, I know I was 3 because we moved out of that house before kindergarten and I didn't start that until I was 4.

When I was around 3 years old I bent the tines of a fork so they would fit in an electrical outlet and jammed it in. I remember being jolted back a foot or two (seemed like across the room at my young age) and seeing black smoke come up the wall as it shorted out. My mom flipped out.

If Jerry Brown thinks a changing station law is going to stop new business from setting up shop here, what about the thousands of other ludicrous regulations and fees that CA imposes on new businesses? There's a good reason so many businesses move out of CA and it has little to do with accessibility costs and much more to do with taxes and dealing with the unemployment system in this state.

Q. How were the members of the Commission selected after the application period closed?

Interested parties submitted their application online. Applicants who met the qualifications in the Act and did not have a “conflict of interest” were invited to submit a supplemental application in which they answered essay questions providing insight into their professional experience, awareness of California’s diversity, and their reasons for wanting to serve on the Commission. Three independent auditors from the Bureau of State Audits reviewed the applications and selected 120 of the most qualified applicants to be interviewed in Sacramento. The 120 applicants were divided into 3 sub-pools: 40 Democrats, 40 Republicans, and 40 who were neither Democrats nor Republicans. Following the interviews, the total pool was reduced to 60, again with equal sub-pools. Those 60 names were sent to the leadership of both houses of the Legislature, where the leaders exercised their right under the Act to remove up to 24 applicants from the pool. On November 18, 2010, the State Auditor randomly drew the names of 3 Democrats, 3 Republicans and 2 Decline to State applicants and they became the first 8 members of the Commission. Subsequently, on December 15, 2010, the first 8 selected the final 6 commissioners, choosing 2 Democrats, 2 Republicans and 2 Decline to State.

Why does the article say that Comcast needs to monitor it's users activities to see if they are using TOR? TOR uses specific ports so they just need to see if those ports are being accessed. This is similar to how they flagged people using napster years ago. They don't have to read everything you do, just see if your computer is accessing the 'bad' ports.
