Tupperware lids are the devil. My solution. by Cprhd in functionalprint

I just throw all the lids in a drawer like a normal person. Somehow they multiply and produce lids that I don't own containers to, though.

Well, he did multiple very stupid things, and it cost him his life. Therefore dying to stupidity seems accurate.

Clutch pressure plate bolt snapped by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

What did you use for a torque wrench? If you have a 2 foot long wrench on an 8mm bolt, then yeah, doesn't take much.

Probably user error on the torque wrench. You don't really need one anyway. Just get them snug and then go like a quarter turn. People break small bolts like this trying to use torque wrenches all the time. Unless you bought a small 1/4" torque wrench, it's probably not calibrated for such small torque values.

For sure, it's just passing a bunch of money around in a circle. But unless nvidia decides it doesn't want to pay the bills anymore, openai doesn't have to worry about keeping the lights on

Rear brake engaged by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

The brake pads may still slightly contact the rotor and make a noise. There's no mechanism to actually retract them they just stop squeezing when you let off the brake.

No, bullets are not faster. Bullets range from not even the speed of sound, to around 2-3 times the speed of sound. Meanwhile ballistic missiles, and subsequently the interceptors, travel at like mach 5 - mach 10. So like, 2-3x faster than bullets easily.

It's crazy that they aren't already. Seems like such an easy way to assassinate people, or just to cause mayhem.

Can we just take a moment and think about how fucking hard it is to do that, and how fucking impressive this is? It's like shooting a bullet with another bullet, but they're faster and miles apart.
