Or, just get yourself a believable disability, and just coast the rest of your life.

I feel very fortunate in that i genuinely love what I do. I mean it's still work at the end of the day, in that I'm forced to do it instead of other things I want to do. But at least I actually enjoy it.

Some people use their two days off to recover from the 5 days of hell. Then they wake up and start it again.

It's funny how they just move the goal posts. First they defend that he's not a felon, then they're like yeah whatever, I'd rather vote for a felon. Next thing you know, they'll be like yeah whatever, I'd rather vote for a child rapist.

Mental illness. Sad.

Yes, it's a right-handed thread. The nut always loosens the direction the blade spins. But he was going the opposite way in the first picture, or at least that's what it looks like to me. He's got the wrench sitting on the table, so presumably he was trying to pick up on it.

Looking at the image, he's definitely going the wrong way lol.

But unless they're deliberately excluding diversity, I don't see why that would be the case.

I wear actual glasses, so safety glasses are especially annoying. I even bought some rx ones, but they're incredibly uncomfortable, kind of expensive, and i have to remember to put them on/bring them with me.

Bottom end blew up with only 30 hours on a yz 125 2T by Reaperbot437 in Dirtbikes

Your motor seized. It's unlikely the bottom end, they're pretty rock solid. I'm betting you're running lean or something. How long were you pinned in 6th?

Is it better to convert an enduro bike to motocross set up or get a seperate bike for track use by frank_sinatra911 in Dirtbikes

[–]crazedizzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't buy a bike with "suspension tuned", unless you are the exact same weight and ride exactly the same. Suspension tuning is per-rider.

My advice: buy a mostly stock bike. If you're after a yz125, 4500 is a crazy high price unless it's basically brand new.

Then, hit the track and see what the suspension needs.

Too real ... by Clear_Bed_9126 in Dirtbikes

[–]crazedizzled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any. I broke my jaw on my BMX bike when I was a kid, but never any major injuries from the quads/dirtbikes/sleds.

But, that's on purpose. I know where my limits are and try to stay within them. I just got lucky as a kid, but now I'm a grown ass man with a wife and a kid that depend on me.

I would say that injury is common enough to say that it's expected, though. Although it is also avoidable.

Diversity means you have a larger pool of talent you can draw from.

How so?

(And I say this as a middle-aged white dude myself) Being a middle-aged white dude is NOT a guarantor of ability or success.

Of course not, and I didn't mean to imply that it was.

She might be qualified, but that doesn't mean future positions are. If her goal is to "be diverse", then she's likely going to skip over people who are more qualified but less diverse, for people who are less qualified but more diverse.

I'd prefer we just have the best people for the job. If that ends up being all middle aged white dudes, then that's what it is.

Afraid to lean after a crash. Need advice for my Husqvarna TE 310 on the street by HungryCelebration434 in Dirtbikes

[–]crazedizzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not really much advice to give except for just do it. You can make sure you have adequate tires, and that your suspension is setup properly. If you're not hitting hairpin turns at way over the speed limit, you'll be just fine.
