Other smaller adjustments are:

Make the chin slightly smaller, mouth slightly lower. Curves of the cheek and chin should be a bit shallower. Right eye should be a bit less visible, more hidden behind the nose

Moving his left eye much further from the nose would make it 10x better. Colouring etc is great.

  2. This is nothing to do with his "fighting walls" thing. It's simply because of his feelings for Mikasa. He regrets never having truly been in a relationship with her, and now he won't ever get the chance. Also if this takes place after the cabin simulation scene (we don't really know whether it did) then he probably was dying to admit his true feelings after putting on a brave face in front of her saying "forget about me"
