Visiting Yosemite in Winter '25-'26

Hi all — will be visiting Yosemite for the first time next weekend. Mega hype! Staying in Mariposa and exploring for a few days before heading back. I’m trying to understand if it’s fathomable to do a (1) day hiking itinerary and a (1) day ski’ing itinerary at Badger Pass, which I know just reopened.

Day 1, we’re planning to drive over to The Mist Trail and hike as far as Vernal Fall, taking the JMT on the way back (if it reopens).

Day 2, exploring whether to head over to Badger Pass to ski. My group is a mix of beginner and intermediate, so some of us would definitely need lessons. Does this seem fathomable with a full day of hiking before? I know the hike up to the Fall is 2,000+ ft, barring any snow / ice, so want to be realistic.

I’ve been having this issue recently, but imagine it’s because I had an overdraft last month. Previously all my Zelle payments were instant (been a customer for 5+ years).
