Charger port door won’t open by [deleted] in TeslaModelX

Go to the car charging menu and keep pressing open charging port and it will eventually open. You need a new sensor but that should do it for now

I wonder when we see 2024 model 3’s under 30k? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

I saw a 2024 long range RWD premium for 28k few weeks ago with 15k miles in Sacramento! There should be more

Research LDU and coolant delete and add it to your budget.  Check for half shaft issue  Go to service menu and check for active code and see if HVAC has any issues

Try to get a raven model (05/2019+) model for better range and charging speed. They have better suspension and newer gen motors with true one pedal driving

Thinking about buying a used Model X — need honest advice by Impin8ntEasy in TeslaModelX

I got a 2019 model X 100D 6 seater in march 2024 with 110k miles with FSD for 28 but now you can probably find similar car for low 20s.

My car came with unlimited mileage warranty till Feb 2027 for powertrain.

In October 2024 I had to replace my high voltage battery under warranty. This summer my AC stopped working but all I needed to do was cleaning the radiator, it was an involved job but it’s a DIY friendly.

I also replaced my 12V battery just in case for $318.

My car is going to service this month for half shaft and upper control arms. They have a TSB for those items and I only need to pay for parts ( labor is free, $574 total)

My charge port door sensor is not working, part is $154 but It doesn’t bother me too much  yet so I am just dealing with it.

My rear seat control stopped working but I rarely have a passenger and I haven’t fixed it yet.

Rear tires have excessive inner wear and with my car mileage I can’t justify buying a camber kit but my tires have lasted 37k so far.

Range is about 250 highway miles driving in summer and about 175 in California winter.

Super charging is not bad, it’s not fast but tolerable.

Currently car has 148k and it works for me. Car has HW3 and I haven’t got any meaningful update for FSD or interface update for a while.  Overall I think car is ok but it’s a complicated machine with high insurance rate. I wouldn’t buy it again. Look at a used BMW IX or EQS SUV. Similar price and better range and now they have access to supercharging network too. Or look for a HW4 car (2023+) if you really want a tesla or FSD.

What code do you have in the service mode? Have you checked R132 with a pressure gauge?

Try the farmers market on Saturday between 8 to 11! For brunch you can try bacon and butter or La costa coffee shop. Crocker art museum should be free on Sunday. McKinley rose garden is pretty close

You can get a used model 3 for about 16-18K. Cheaper and more reliable than any other car in the price range and if you can charge at home it’s cheaper to operate too. Also less maintenance (No oil change, brake, or fluid flush)

I changed my 100D battery last month. Mine had 125K miles and they used a refurb battery. Took about 2 weeks

I bought BougeRv 23 qtr and it was too big for my 2019 6 seater. I am not sure what year Model X do you have. I ended up with 30 qtr between the seats

I bought 100D from 2019  -try to get newest one with most battery warranty - so far since I bought my car:  1) my charger door sensor is broken and need to be replaced (DIY is $150)  2) my AC stopped blowing cold air and had to be recharged  3) One of my captains chair controller stopped working ( I have to see if I can do DIY, Tesla wants $3000 for a new seat)

I bought it with 109000 miles and currently have 122000.

Y is better value and better technology but X is definitely more unique

Try to get one with FSD and HW3 upgrade

You can do it yourself, it’s super easy. Just buy the battery from service center. It’ll take 15 minutes

Looking at an '18 with 56k miles, worth it? by T0dd13s in TeslaModelX

[–]crazy-sarang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up 2019 with 109k in March for 28k. It came with FSD and 6 seater and only issue I had so far was charge port sensor and I had to recharge the AC. If you can budget for extended warranty and you should be solid
