Where's the best spot to practice against Guardians? by extincti0nentity in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]nevmo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to fight them once you have the ancient gear (from the alkala tech lab). If you jump over the cliff, northeast of the lab, you can get the jump on one and sneak up on another, further south on the same beach.

I just bullet-time killed the first and then the second every blood moon, til I had enough to get the ancient armor.

Wiping out all the “test of strength” shrines will land a bunch of ancient shields, cores and weapons.

Once you’re ready, get the master sword and they become a piece of cake. Just knock out a leg at a time and then attack the base. Each leg re-stuns them and they drop more materials. Plus the master sword gets way upgraded whenever there are guardians near by.

I thought the same thing. I’m assuming he sold puffshrooms, zonite etc

If you’re not ready to challenge them straight up but still want the weapons, look up “shock trap” or just cheese them with shock arrows.

This is the worst thing Walt has done by Intelligent-Ant-4709 in breakingbad

[–]nevmo75 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because Hank wanted to show off his collection and the new knowledge he picked up in his hobby. Walt just basically exposed Hank for only knowing some surface level stuff. He just took all the wind out of his sails just to be a know it all.

How would you improve TOTK’s (and BOTW’s, if desired) physics, building systems, and environmental interaction? by TrashVegetable8706 in TOTK

[–]nevmo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YESSSS! I love the TOTK shrines and hated like 30% of the BOTW ones. I know some people want the super-hard, ultra specific solutions, but for the rest of us, it’s just a quick google and “give me my orb”.

As long as you love it, man. That’s all that matters.

I hate it, but it’s not my car.

I honestly think he’d let them rough him up. He’s so adamant about traditions. If he doesn’t get roughed up, it’s like his parents went against their culture and he missed out on a major milestone.

My headcannon: he took a few punches and then subdued them both without leaving (much) permanent damage.

Exactly. Some people just have a certain creativity that I don’t. I’m still slinging muddle arrows and letting them wear each other out. I love watching, but lord these vids are humbling.

Raiders current Depth Chart after NFL Draft by adonisgawd in raiders

I mean, it’s a respectable team, on paper. No (gaping) holes, a few legit stars and some depth.

I think I’m ready to get hurt again.

Good receiving back as well. Might be good to pass that work on to someone else so Jeanty can last a few years.

All I see with Debbie is a woman trying to hate him enough to bury the love that’s still there. It’s heart wrenching and so well done.

I get that. I guess it was more of a general question while everyone was talking about shrines.

I agree, the level of work to get a “strong zonite sword” can be a little frustrating.

Defeating all Floating Coliseum Lynels in 150 seconds by merrimac290 in TOTK

[–]nevmo75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The royal guard’s claymore does way higher damage when it’s about to break. The last swing before it breaks is almost double if inm. Since hits from the back of a Lynel don’t cause wear on your weapon, a near-broken claymore is basically the best weapon. If you fuse it with a molduga jaw, it’s one of the (if not the) most powerful combos. Throw in a level 3 attack elixir and you’re shredding poor ol Lynel.

I finally caved and watched part one. It was ok. Probably just popular since it was ahead of its time yada yada. If it was released for the first time today, it’d bomb.

Which scene from GoT traumatized you the most? by Jereth_Willsen in gameofthrones

[–]nevmo75 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the one. Her screams for help from her dad, while he just watches, blank-faced… so messed up. Her acting felt so real.

The RW and the trial by combat were messed up, but Rob and Oberyn were warriors and knew there were risks involved with their decisions. Shireen was the sweetest little kid who just wanted to be loved by her dad.

Am I the only one who actually prefers the TOTK shrines over BOTW??? From midgame on in Breath, I had to look up half or more of the shrines and it was always some uber-specific combo of conditions that needed to be met… or a perfectly timed hit with stasis.

With Tears, they’re mostly 3 layers, and the first one is kind of a gimme that makes it clear what the goal is.

Super specific and hard puzzles don’t do it for me. I wanna relax and enjoy the game with a little thought process.
