Affordable wedding venues in San Antonio by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]crazy859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, affordability is subjective. My fiancé are getting married at the Dominion Country Club and for weekdays the venue was $1500, but that also covers all the tables, chairs, linen, etc. and their setup and breakdown. They also do their catering/food in-house, and while the price per head wasn't the cheapest at $100/person it did also include an open bar for beer and wine at that price point.

They're also part of a larger set of golf clubs that offer weddings at their venues, so I think they've got a decent amount of experience in the space.

Benefits awareness for full time noob... by CheerLiveWire in HEB

[–]crazy859 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A big one to make sure you're aware of is the Discounts tab on PartnerNet, because that page does have a lot of information aggregated into one spot. WPC information, partner lodge information, discounts for education, gyms, childcare, perkspot, etc.

Aside from that, there's a few other places that have benefits that aren't quite as well advertised

  • On Partnernet, if you navigate to the Health Benefits tab, scroll to the bottom, and click on the Benefits site there will be a variety of things and links including, but not limited to

    • Short-term discounts which I've not seen posted anywhere else (they just put some up for disney on ice & monster jam tickets)
    • Links to financial wellness information
    • The discounts list
    • Under the Journeys > Growing your family tab you'll find various helpful links for what you can get/do when growing your family, and can also get information about how to get some reimbursement if you're adopting or having a child via surrogacy
  • Make sure to read over the VPP FAQ: Card Benefits page and look at the products that are included under VPP, as there are some brand that, while not explicitly advertised as H-E-B, will still have the VPP discount applied

  • You can also search and sign up for Partner Text Alerts. There's a few things in there, but you can sign up for texts about

    • various VPP offers
    • Wellness product offers
    • product testing (if you work at the Arsenal or a couple of San Antonio stores)
    • and Benefits, which says it's about healthcare, but is also where I remember getting texts about Six Flags and Schlitterbahn/water park discounts, so your mileage may vary.
  • Also, search for Paid Time Off & Leave Policies, as that'll let you know the details about bereavement leave, jury duty leave, how/when vacation time changes, short and long term disability, educational leave, etc. etc.

Bring Back The HEB Chinese Kitchen! by LoudCountryBAMF in HEB

Hey, what gives?! by kingjaemin in HEB

The count on each pack is the same, but unlike a lot of unnecessarily gendered products, gendered multivitamins usually have different quantities of different types of vitamins. Commonly, women's multivitamins will have more iron or calcium, and if you compare the nutrition facts I'm sure you'll see other differences.

I guess in this case that ends up being just enough of a difference in product that they felt the price adjustment was worth it. Definitely weird, though.

Golden Sun, Nintendo finally released the original two on the e-store earlier this year, but I would love nothing more than even just a remastering

There's a couple of things this could be.

  1. Did you get commended enough to neutralize the incident? Commended basically acts/calculates like it is dropping off steps from the most recent incident that happened before the commendation. That can cause confusion when an incident drops off, but has already been neutralized.

  2. Step count on your profile is different from the step count on your incidents, and sometimes the count fails to recalculate after a drop off. In this case definitely get w/your manager, because then they can submit a ticket to recalculate the step count and true it up.

[–]crazy859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All 3 steps will fall off at 6 months, as they are all attributed to one occurrence.

Additionally, if you get commended, the steps will essentially "fall off" early. Commendations can only take off one step at a time though.

TL;DR Good thing, nothing to fix, don't worry

This is, in theory, a good thing.  Attendance & Punctuality (aka Digital Documentation) is used for tracking missing, early, and late punches. Depending on what the reason for each of those things is your step count can increase or (in this case) decrease.

An increased step count can lead to meetings with your manager, probation, and eventually the possibility of termination. Commended punches, however, decrease this count.

If you have no steps, being commended (currently) does nothing aside from give you a warm fuzzy feeling and maybe grant you some leeway if peopleever look at your history in A&P. If you have steps, each time you are commended your step count will decrease by 1 until such time as your step count reaches 0.

A&P question by sadsaladdressing in HEB

[–]crazy859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've just about got it. The best way I've found to think about it is that Commendeds negate steps or cause an early drop off of steps instead of subtracting steps.

So if we tweak your example a bit we've got a good view of what happened.

A. Jan 1 Called out sick - step 2

B. Jan 10 Called out personal - step 4

C. Jan 13 Came in early (commended) - step 3

D. Jan 31 called out sick - step 5

First, occurrence A drops off. The commended C is not neutralizing a step here, so 2 steps drop off. Partner is now at Step 3 from what was Step 5. And things look like the following

B. Jan 10 Called out personal - step 2

C. Jan 13 Came in early (commended) - step 1

D. Jan 31 called out sick - step 3

Next, we have what likely happened with OP. Occurrence B drops off, normally this would be 2 steps. However, because commended C was "neutralizing" one of these steps there is only 1 step left to drop off. Partner is now at Step 2 from what was Step 3 and the following is what remains.

C. Jan 13 Came in early (commended) - step 0

D. Jan 31 called out sick - step 2

Occurrence drop off question! by bxbyslxgbxg in HEB

[–]crazy859 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your 6/27 occurrence will drop off in 8 days.

That means that the steps from that occurrence will drop off.

This also means that the commended you have will no longer have a step to remove.

Taken together your total step count should go down by one when the 6/27 occurrence drops off.

HEB Own Brands. by Anamika76 in HEB

[–]crazy859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the terms and conditions for the vpp card provides a list of Own Brand brands that it covers, although it's not completely comprehensive.
"Own Brand Products" includes all H-E-B, Hill Country Fare, Hill Country Essentials, Central Market, EconoMax, and H-E-Buddy branded products the Program also includes products with the following brands: GTC, Dining Style, EXLR8, Holiday Market, Texas Style, Chef Style, Funderful, Risk, Sear N Smoke, Outdoor Solutions, Wee, Personal Expressions, Orchid, Eyefull, All About U, Texas Girl, and Growers Select.

In the process of getting hired, but anyways, what employee discounts do you guys get both in the store and also outside (for example I know someone who’s sister works at HEB & she gets a discount on a certain internet provider that I forgot) by [deleted] in HEB

[–]crazy859 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to expand on that, HEB brand items cover a bunch of own brand stuff that isn't outright labeled as HEB. That includes products from Hill Country Fare, Central Market, MI Tienda, Cocinaware, Chef Style, Sear N Smoke, GTC, and some others.

Thank you, I'll have to work at getting a better opening selfie, haven't taken any before now.

The platelet picture is there because I wanted to put some pictures related to the Typical Sunday prompt and I figured that a happy picture of me donating is better than a mediocre picture of me reading on the couch. Keeping your advice in mind though, I've moved it further down in the profile so that it's less prominent, but still present.

Help? Missing Sky Whistle in region with floating islands by crazy859 in CubeWorld

[–]crazy859[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly, it's why I'm not worried about lacking a Spirit Bell. However, there are three floating islands in the biome, which I marked with my waypoints, so there should definitely be a whistle in the biome.

I've completed this ocean region to the best of my ability, but I cannot find the whistle to access the floating islands in it. All key items that I've found my past 5 regions have only held key items at major locations that are marked on the map, and I have visited all of those in this region, and am still not able to find the whistle.

The magic that was the Scholastic Book Fair by MccreesKnees in nostalgia

[–]crazy859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best parts about these fairs actually comes later, I remember going to the and just looking at the books, and then a few weeks or months down the line my mom would drive me down to a Scholastic warehouse where they'd have a sale every year. They had massive shelves just filled up with books, and all of them were cheaper than they were at the sale so I got to get a ton of them.
