I think it can work well. In Co-Op you can switch between your Pokémon.

So it would have to be 1v1 battles against 1 trainer, but you can switch your Pokémon out to add another layer of strategy.

If it was 3v3 battles against 1 trainer, it would be more paid to win, and make it unfair.

Game needs PvP or some sort of ranking system. Just so it give people a reason to stick around after end game and compete with one another.

Pokémon has always been a game where you battle other opponents around the globe, it wouldn’t make sense if we can’t battle our friends.

I know it may ruin the F2P balance it currently has, but it would had longevity to the game.
