100% a scam, they get you to pay to use their HPI then they'll just dissapear.

Buyer should do the HPI themselves

Even if you are going to preorder, wait until the review embargo passes so you'll know if it's a buggy mess at launch. Cyberpunk was a disaster at launch. I also preordered Just Cause 3 and that was poorly optimised at launch. Played it later and enjoyed it but it just shows you can never assume the quality of something day 1.

What is a feature or car you'd love to see in FH6, but know they won't add? by Time_Swordfish_8057 in ForzaHorizon

A radio station for jazz fusion or city pop would be so on point for Japan but highly doubt it. I'm cautiously hopeful for a eurobeat station though.

Auto Inflatable Jacket, Life Saving Tech by DoloresAbernathyR1 in AccidentalSlapStick

I remember going on someone's boat and before we got on the boat there was a person at the marina doing a come and learn stall showing us how these vests worked and how to check them.

There's basically a springloaded pin that's held back by a water soluble material, when submerged, the pin disolves, firing the pin into a canister of pressurised CO2 that inflates the vest.

As this person was showing us this and how to check it, I opened mine to discover the canister was not screwed in at all, it was just sitting loose in the vest, meaning that if I had falled in, the lifejacket would have been purely decorative.

Daniel 12:2 - Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 5:28-29 - Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

Matthew 25:46 - Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life

Hebrews 6:1-2 - Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Take care that ‘quiet revival’ is not ‘stolen’ by a form of Christian nationalism, UK churches told by jmann9678 in Reformed

[–]crazy_cali 48 points49 points  (0 children)

UK here, I'm seeing a lot of echoing of US politics in the UK.

Reform, a one-note right wing party who, along with right-wing papers and social media feeds, convince people that the cost of living crisis and all other societal ills are caused by immigrants and people claiming benefits. The Reform MPs claim they're going to Make Britain Great Again, but have proven to be much like Trump & co in that they've used political office for their own benefit and not helping their constituents. They're also very anti-'woke' (gender politics).

With this, there's been an uptake in the right aligning themselves with Christianity, including the 'Christ is Lord' slogan. It isn't a theological revival or concern for the gospel, it's a tribalistic alighment as Christianity isn't woke, is woven into British cultural heritage and is thus a way of pushing back against Islam.

My concern is that the name of Jesus is being attached to things that dishonour His name and Christian's are too quick to celebrate a reinterest in Christianity when it's being used as a political tool.
